[ continues her trek towards one of the less crowded areas of the school, holding two bags full of (homemade) food close to her chest. when she spots her company for the afternoon she shifts the excess weight to free her hands; comes up behind anthony, reaching up to put her palms over his eyes as she happily exclaims: ]

[ puffs out her chest a little. ]

I am. [ nabs her toothbrush, raising it in the air. ] Me, daddy and mommy used to play it when I was little.

[ tries to imagine (again)... ]

. . . Who won?

Me!

[ picks out his own toothbrush & squeezes some toothpaste on it. hands it over to alyssa. ]

Then I forfeit.

[ lips form into a pout as she takes the toothpaste. ]

But why!

You're the champion. I need more training.

[ squirts some toothpaste on her toothbrush, runs it under some water and then, after saying phooey, she shoves it in her mouth to begin slowly brushing. ]

[ mirrors her motions, brushing lazily as he starts humming & singing around the toothpaste. ]

I-- am working on the ra-a-a-ailwa-a-ay. . .

[ can't help but giggle at that, bumping her hip against him gently. while he gets out a few words all she can do is gurgle some nonsense out in reply to his singing. ]

[ bumps her back with his shoulder fondly as he switches tunes, even if the words are growing progressively more gurgled. ]

Soooooomewhe-e-e-wheeeere o-ve-e-er the rainbow. . .

[ manages to get out: ]

Waaaaaaay uuuuuuup hi~igh~!

[ before leaning over the sink to spit. ]

[ clamps his teeth on the toothbrush so that he has both hands free to clap along as she sings. then once that's over, also bends a little to spit. cleans out his tongue a couple of times before grabbing a cup from the counter to hand it to her while he uses his cupped hands for rinsing. ]

[ does her own share of mouth-preening, taking the cup afterward to rinse and spit a few times. leans into the mirror to check her teeth, standing up straight when she feels like she did a good job. ]

[ wipes off as much water as possible with his hands from his face, then pokes his head close to her mouth. ]

Smell test?

[ blinks over at him in brief confusion at the gesture, turning to face him fully. purses her lips into a small 'o' shape to blow a small puff of air at him. ]

[ draws back, his nose twitching a bit. nods in understanding. ]

Okay. Next time, we'll race.

[ puts her hands on her hips, puffing out her cheeks a little. ]

Does that mean that I'm still smelly, mister.

[ shakes his head & pokes those cheeks with his fingers. ]

Checking out the competition.

[ deflates her cheeks with the poke, giving a small "oh". smiles up at him widely. ]

I didn't get to test you!

[ retracts his hands to lean down a bit, mimicking her previous action of blowing out a soft breath of air. ]

. . . Do I get to pass?

[ hums a little in thought. pushes her hand into his face, gently nudging him away. ]

Nope. You're smelly.

[ & then she turns and walks towards anthony's bedroom without another word. ]

[ looks a bit shocked, turning to check his teeth in the mirror when she leaves. rinses his mouth one more time to ease his paranoia, then trails on after her. ]

But I don't want to be smelly.

[ sits on the edge of his bed when they reach it, pressing her palms against the mattress behind her so that she can lean her weight on those limbs for support. ]

I have a cure for being smelly.

[ stops in front of her, looking curious. ]

[ shakes her head, reaching out for both of his hands in silence. ]
