[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ blinks a little. ]

Erm. I do not know. Can ask?

[ drops his hands. ]

That's okay, I don't need to know.

[ wanders back into the living room. ]

My awesome senses tell me that your hand will be your true love forever.

[ grunts at that. ]

Nice one. Got the markers?

[ lifts the pack of markers up high. ]

Yep. [ takes a seat on the floor, opening it up to spill the contents on the ground. ] Alright, who wants what color?

[ wordlessly stares at the orange. ]

...

[ just hands him the orange marker without another word. ]

[ takes it happily. ]

Danke!

[ shakes his head in fond amusement, passing aaron the red when he points to it and hana the blue. just grabs the black for himself, popping the cap open. ]

Alright, everyone ready?

Count to three!

[ scratches the back of his head. ]

Alright. One... two...

Three!

[ pops the top off the marker & starts scribbling. ]

[ smiles a little to herself when she peeks to look at everyone, carefully writing her own at a slow pace. belatedly realizes that she didn't write in english, fidgeting a bit at her mistake... then thinks it's fine when she notices that nathan didn't either. gives a nod, standing. ]

Caleb-san, may I place mine on first?

Ja. I go second!

[ quietly shuffles on over to the tree, gingerly placing her charm onto one of the branches. straightens it a little, turning back to take a seat on the edge of the couch. ]

[ follows suit when she sits down, picking a higher spot on the tree to hang his. stares at it for a moment, silently hoping that this wish tradition works a little, then comes back to his seat. ]

Who next?

[ stands up, giving a shrug. ]

Guess I will.

[ wanders on over to the tree, fiddling with his on the way over. decides it doesn't matter where he puts it, just tagging it onto the first branch he sees. also looks at it for a moment before he shakes his head and returns to his seat on the floor. ]

[ lazily gets up when he realizes it's his turn, stretching a little while he makes his way to the tree. after a pause he glances at nathan's, making a face. then hana's. then caleb's. turns and says: ]

I decline this tradition.

What the hell. Why?

I can't read any of yours but you can read mine. I feel violated.

God, we're not going to look at it. Just put the damn thing on the tree!

[ turns back to do as he's told, taking a seat once more when he arrives at the couch. after a long pause: ]

I wished for health, wealth, and happiness.

[ reaches to smack him on the head. ]

WHY THE HELL WERE YOU COMPLAINING, THEN!?

[ grunts when he's hit. ]

I just wanted to be accepted.

[ stares at them. turns to stare at hana. ]
