[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

No. I joined right after Liam died.

[ & then smiles again, reaching up to stroke caleb's hair with his fingertips. ]

It's a long story. Doesn't matter anymore.

[ ruffles his hair a little. ]

Yep! No sense worrying 'bout that kind of stuff. I'm happy now, aren't I?

Ja. Is important to be happy now.

[ ruffling comes to a stop when a thought comes to mind, stilling the hand. ]

You're happy too... right?

[ blinks, surprised for a moment. then the smile spreads into a grin. ]

I am happy. I tell Nathan I am happy a lot.

[ thinks about saying something profound to that. lips twitch up into a small smile instead, nodding. ]

[ yawns a little, closing his eyes as his hand moves a little in caleb's hair. ]

Mm. Good to be happy here.

[ twists his head a bit to brush his lips against nathan's hand before speaking again. ]

Bed? Sleep? Is more warm inside.

[ cracks his eyes open, whining a little. ]

M'not sleepy.

[ ... & then his eyes shut again. ]

[ shakes his head a little. ]

But I am sleepy. Is okay to go to bed?

[ wakes up instantly, sitting upright. ]

Then I'm sleepy too!

[ looks a bit amused, then nods. gives a small tug at their connectd hands. ]

[ nods before doing a small wiggling act off the couch, keeping his hold on caleb's hand all the while. ]

[ hops up from the couch as well before beginning to tug them into the bedroom. once there, he lets go of nathan's hand so that he can scour the room for his comfort clothes to get ready for bed. holds up his t-shirt and sweatpants when he finds them on the floor in triumph. ]

Nathan use bathroom first?

[ whiles he pulls out his neatly folded clothing to place them on the bed, blinking at caleb when he starts to take off his shirt. picks up his pajamas again instead, nods, then wanders off to the bathroom. ]

[ takes that time to quickly change, tugging on his pants first before pulling on his shirt. that done, he rolls up his other clothes & wanders over to plant them next to the dresser, too tired & lazy to do anything more than that. deciding to organize tomorrow, he shuffles back to the bed, lying down on it with his legs dangling off the side of the bed as he waits. ]

[ & he does his job a little sluggishly, mostly taking his time in brushing his teeth and washing his face (as usual). when his clothes are once again in a neat little pile he exits the bathroom, poking his head into the bedroom before wandering towards the dresser to open a drawer he had previously claimed as his own. ]
