[ double-checks that everything in the house is straightened and in its proper place, despite having cleaned everything earlier that morning. a few peeks up the stairs towards her brother's room is the only other movement she makes besides nudging things here and there, taking a seat on the edge of a chair when she realizes that it probably won't be very long now. is quite aware (was made aware) that her brother had tricked anthony into thinking they were going to meet at twelve instead of twelve-thirty, but still can't help but glance outside the front window every few minutes to make sure that she would be there when he arrived. ]

[ looks up, nodding over at him. ]

Yes! [ turns back to anthony. ] You can go take a seat, if you'd like. I'll finish up the rest.

[ looks up at michael's appearance, then back at anne. ]

Are you sure? I can help more if you need it.

It's alright, I don't mind. Please, go sit, I'll bring everything in shortly.

[ pauses, as if to argue, then nods, turning to exit the kitchen. eyes the table for a moment, feeling like he's about to make an important decision. puffs out his cheeks a bit at the (dumb) thought & take a random seat instead. ]

[ and he wanders in after a while, holding two glasses of water. places them in the appropriate spots he and anne usually sit at, taking his seat in front of anthony in silence. ]

[ stares at him for a moment, wanting to fill the silence. ]

[ leans back into his seat, hands interlaced and placed on top of the table. ]

[ scrunches his nose. ]

Knock, knock.

[ blinks, staring at anthony as if he's going to say something else that's more profound. ]

[ opens his mouth. closes it. opens it... ]

I believe I have done just fine in the nineteen to twenty years that I have lived without you. If anything it is you who needs guidance.
