[ the streets had been pretty bare after a little traffic on the way to anthony's apartment, making due with the time they had when stopping to glance down at the arms around his waist. double-checking never hurt, considering the circumstances. as per usual he has his moments of thought over the events that had taken place throughout the day. said thoughts eventually traveled into their adventure at the lounge, concluding that it was most likely the alcohol speaking for anthony and nothing more than that; it was an acceptable self-hypothesis.

without any chatter involved (he was half-expecting puff, woo to happen any second, after all) he makes his way down the last few streets in complete silence, already quite aware of their exact destination. ]

[ droops against michael, barely comprehending the words. ]

I'm nosy and I threw off your calcu-- calculations. The world sucks.

[ moves along with the droop a little, keeping at an evened pace. ]

Worry not. You were not to blame.

But it's my weight you're calculating. How'd you get it wrong, anyway? Is it the clothes?

No, it was simply an error of judgment on my part.

[ finally gets inside the building with some effort, strolling on up to the elevator. directs his attention back to anthony. ] Your floor number?

[ reaches around to shove his finger against the right number when they enter the elevator. huffs & settles back down afterward, as if the action had caused him to suffer more exhaustion than it actually does. ]

Uppity we go, cap-i-tan!

[ just watches the floor numbers tick by, blinking when it stops on one that they did not select and the door opens up. looks as expressionless as ever when the person standing there stares at them oddly, not bothering to watch them scoot to the nearest corner after pushing their floor number. ]

[ lolls his head back & forth against michael's, not noticing the newcomer yet. but when he does (& vaguely registers the look), he rears up. stares. ]

. . . Isn't my honeybun-baby-gorgeous-manmeat so strong?

[ stares straight forward even as anthony runs his mouth, not particularly bothered nor interested in the one-sided conversation. when the ding signals their arrival he just steps on out, blind to the uncomfortable look their elevator-buddy gives them before the door shuts again. ]

Which way?

[ points down the correct hallway, feeling rather victorious. ]

There.

[ nods and continues to be a human vehicle in silence, going slow enough so that his companion could stop him at the appropriate door whenever they approach it. ]

[ gives michael's neck a squeeze when they near his door, reaching out with an arm to knock at it just in case his dad's in (while hoping to god that his dad's not in). when there's no immediate response, he takes in a deep breath before he draws back, barely balancing himself as he sticks his hands down his pockets to find another set of keys.

when he's victorious, he lets out a small a ha! & reaches back around to offer the key to michael. ]

Look, I found it.

[ blinks at the set of keys. stares in thought. stares a bit more. with some skills that only he possesses he unlocks the door without dropping ~~his personal monkey~~ anthony, nudging it open as the wanders on in.

tilts his head slightly to speak to him. ]

Would you be alright if I released you now?

[ yawns a bit. ]

You're not staying?

I suppose I could stay if it is necessary.

We can make cookie dough!

... I do not think that is the correct saying, but if we must.

[ rubs his nose into michael's hair. ]

What's the correct saying?

[ doesn't mind that, too busy thinking as he wanders further into the apartment. ]

"We can eat cookie dough"? Or perhaps you meant to suggest the act of making cookies, which I am unaccustomed to. That is Anne's specialty, not mine.

[ continues to cling on, far too content to really move yet. ]
