[ the streets had been pretty bare after a little traffic on the way to anthony's apartment, making due with the time they had when stopping to glance down at the arms around his waist. double-checking never hurt, considering the circumstances. as per usual he has his moments of thought over the events that had taken place throughout the day. said thoughts eventually traveled into their adventure at the lounge, concluding that it was most likely the alcohol speaking for anthony and nothing more than that; it was an acceptable self-hypothesis.

without any chatter involved (he was half-expecting puff, woo to happen any second, after all) he makes his way down the last few streets in complete silence, already quite aware of their exact destination. ]

[ there are a few things to note when he wakes up: he has a hangover. he remembers everything.

even when he realizes that hiro's probably wandering around the apartment (judging by how the bed's empty when he distinctly remembers going to sleep together), he pushes his face into the pillow, curls underneath the covers into a miserable ball of fuzz, gundam & pokemon. from under the blankets, a quiet stream of words emerge: ]

My life is over, my life is over, my life is over, the world still sucks--

[ currently he's doing some house work, mainly the act of attempting this "making breakfast" thing. having tried it a few times with both anthony and his dad in the past, he doesn't think much of it as he waddles around to do his business. and after a semi-successful rendezvous in the kitchen he's sliding the (slightly burnt) eggs and (somewhat undercooked) toast onto a plate. nabbing the glass of orange juice, he makes his way back to anthony's room. ]

... ?

[ tilts his head a little when he notices the lump-o-~~chicken~~ anthony, carefully placing the items in hand onto the nearby desk. squats down next to the bed after, attempting to lift some of the covers so he can peek underneath them. ]

[ his eyes only open when he feels that movement, his pikachu-senses tingling. still not moving, he whispers morosely: ]

You're not going to disown me, are you. . . ?

[ tilts his head at that, briefly confused. ends up just lifting a hand to gently pat where he assumes anthony's head is at. ]

[ takes that as a good sign. a hand snakes out to grope around for one of hiro's. ]

Thanks. . . Family really is the only thing you can count on. . .

[ reaches out to nab his cellphone, typing before sliding it underneath the covers & taking anthony's hand with his free one in the meantime. ]

「 What's wrong? You were really happy last night. 」

[ gives the hand a squeeze & reads the words slowly. very slowly. ]

Ughgh. [ a short pause. decides to translate: ] I have a bad headache.

[ shuffles a little in place, worried. types after a moment of (slightly flustered) consideration: ]

「 Aspirin? Food? Water? 」

[ emits a faint sound of appreciation. ]

Water would be good.

[ glances at the orange juice on the desk, removing himself from anthony as he nabs the glass and chugs it down. after exchanging the contents of the cup for water he shuffles back, gently tapping the anthony-lump to signal his return. ]

[ finally pulls himself out from underneath the covers, reaching for the cup gingerly. sitting up a little, he takes little sips. ]

Thanks. [ stares down at the cup miserably. ] I'm glad you're here.

[ climbs up onto the bed, sitting next to him. reaches out to pat his head a little in sympathy. ]

「 It's okay, onii-chan. 」

[ shakes his head slowly. ]

No, I acted stupid.

「 How? 」

Everything I said last night was dumb.

「 Onii-chan can't say anything dumb. Onii-chan is the smartest. 」

[ puts the cup of water next to the plate of food before burying his face into the pillow. ]

Thanks, Hiro. . .

[ shoulders drop a little at that, once again reaching out to stroke anthony's hair in silence. ]

[ after a moment of feeling sorry for himself some more, he finally lifts his face away to stare at hiro blearily. ]

Sorry. Did you eat already. . . ? Hungry?

[ shakes his head at his latter question. ]

「 I had cereal. 」 [ types some more: ] 「 I made you food. 」

[ looks over to the plate of food. then back at hiro, a faint blush spreading across his expression. ]

That's mine?

[ nods enthusiastically, lifting the plate up from its current position to hold it out towards anthony. ]

[ sits up to take the plate properly. picks up the fork to take a bite out of the eggs. slightly overcooked, but still... ]

This is delicious. Thanks.

[ wiggles onto the bed so he can sit next to anthony, legs swaying in his form of expressing happiness over the compliment. ]

「 I'll try to make something else next time. 」

[ reaches over to pat him on the head while he munches happily on a piece of toast. ]

We can make something together.
