[ her daily routine started off as it usually did: crawling out of bed and plopping on the floor, letting out a little oof! at the impact. picking herself up, she makes her way to her bathroom in a hurry to do her business, throwing her hands up in the air when she scurries out into her room in a victory! fashion. after that she throws open her closet and drawers, rummaging around to pick out an outfit for the day.

pulls her shirt over her head, snaps her jumper on, then picks up her pajamas to set them on her bed neatly; her personal (ninja) maid would surely put it into the wash for her. fistpumps once, quickly crawling onto her bed to pet ~~her fat kitty~~ catbert, telling him to be good while she goes to find daddy before zipping out of the room at top-speed.

says a quick HI, BYE! to one of the maids along the way, zooming and rolling around to peer into every corner to find albert. stands up from peeking underneath a bed to tap her chin, going AH-HAH! when a thought strikes her; the study was her final destination. and when she gets there and sees her daddy she snickers, quietly crawling on the ground slowly so that he wouldn't notice her right away. peeks up over the table, beaming when she sees a plate of cheese there. shifty-eyes to albert, reaching a hand out to nab a few pieces and plop onto the ground.

& that's the pattern she'll have for a while, continuing on ~~stealing~~ nomming down the cheese as quietly as possible, her previous mission long forgotten in the face of a cheesy-delicious breakfast. ]

[ a brief pause, then he adds: ] My thanks, however, for your honesty and explanation.

[ nods a few times at both of his statements, taking a long gulp of her milk. stares at her cup for a while, and then: ]

Am I ever going to get tall like mommy? And daddy too of course, but you're a boy.

I'd imagine so, yes. Nathan excluded, our family possesses quite a nice height average.

[ puffs out her cheeks. ]

I hope Smelly gets shorter. I wanna be taller than him!

[ quirks an eyebrow. ]

Hm. If he does not get any taller, that may be quite possible in the future.

[ gasps. ]

Really? [ arms go into the air again. ] Yaaay! Taller than Smelly, taller than Smelly~!

[ chuckles again. ]

Little princess, most highly attractive women are taller than Nathan. You need not worry.

[ tries to think that one over. ends up just tilting her head to the side a little. ]

Ah?

I am complimenting your future image.

Ohhh. Well, daddy is good-looking and all the ladies like you. Mommy is pretty and all the guys like her. [ pauses, nodding. ] So I'll be pretty good-looking. All the ladies and guys will like me.

That they will. Just remember to be wise about the company you seek.

I think old ladies are the nicest. [ noms another piece of pancake, making sure she swallows before speaking. ] They give me candy, so I'll seek them first.

[ a hum of consideration, masking yet another amused noise. ]

Fair enough.

[ hums as well, imitating him. takes the last bit of pancake with her fork, lifting it up towards albert. ]

For you, daddy!

[ blinks slowly. then shakes his head. ]

No, thank you. That was made to your tastes, little princess, not mine.

[ also blinks a few times in silence. ends up just wiggling out of her chair, waddling to stand next to him while keeping her fork in hand. holds it up. ]

Dadddddyyy~ It's coming to get yoooou.

[ tilts his head (mouth) upwards & away. ]

Hm. Should I begin to escape?

[ puffs up. ]

No, you must defeat it! You are the strongest.

I've little defenses against pancakes. Will my little princess not help?

But it's fun when we eat together. [ wiggles the fork. ] I want daddy to have it because it's my favorite.

[ closes his eyes for a moment, sighing, then sets his cup down onto the table. eyes pop back open. ]

Alright. Then we will share that piece, in a true team effort. I will have half.

[ brightens considerably at his words, nodding enthusiastically. with some effort she climbs onto his lap, biting off half of the pancake on the fork. holds up the other half. ]

It's a magic pancake! So daddy has to eat his share, okay?

[ pries the fork gently from her fingers so that he can pop the other half into his mouth, fighting down a grimace at the burst of sweetness. chew, chew, swallow later, he hands the fork back. ]

Now all that is left is for you to finish your milk.

Yes, daddy.

[ pats his cheeks then hops off his lap, humming and skipping and twirling back to her seat. sits, drinks down her milk, then raises the cup up high. ] Finish!

[ reaches over to smooth out the top of her hair with a few pats. ]
