[ of course, as it turns out, the one thing that she's forgotten to mention to lyssa was the fact that she didn't really have a convenient method of transportation. all she'd asked for the location & time, thinking that would have been enough. of course it hadn't been.

... oh well.

hooking her small messenger bag-slash-purse on her shoulder, she bids her dad goodbye after reassuring him that she'll be back by ten (yes, yes, don't worry, just the mall--). & promptly feels glad that she left two hours before the time she's supposed to meet lyssa 'cause she just missed the bus & the next one won't be arriving for another half-hour. she settles down, pews & waits. long story short (after she subtracts the bus ride & all the weird things her hair is doing in the humidity), she manages to get to the mall in once piece: none of her organs are missing, her dress isn't ripped up, & no one had shoved her head down a toilet. day's pretty good so far (where's wood to knock on when she needed some?). 'cept the fact that she's probably a few minutes late, but--

... oh well.

she'll apologize to lyssa as soon as she can find him. ]

Older people always complain about their back or hips, and with modern medicine, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. [ thinks for a short moment. ] Maybe I should ask Michael... he'd totally know.

[ michael is lyssa's robot, right? the real-life one? ]

[ takes out his cellphone with his free hand, deciding to just text him. speaks as he types: ]

No. [ androids aren't better, because androids are just people built out of metal. best to just stuff a living person with a metal heart, lungs & other organs, etcetra... nope, not better. that's like copying a copyrighted idea. it's a bad thing. only it's worse because it's copying a copyrighted bad idea. ]

Is it 'cause you're only attracted to robots? [ hits send on his phone, sighing and pocketing it. ] That's why I thought you'd be perfect for each other...

I like ponies too. [ she likes michael 'cause he's a robot. not an android. ]

Yeah, but I think there are laws that state that you can't be in a romantic relationship with a pony.

Ponies can love ponies. [ she can just admire them from afar. lots of people do that with other animals, so why can't she? ]

also, lyssa. she's sure this cologne is expensive but it's really making her nose itch. excuse her.

snorts outwardly, trying to expel the scent from her nostrils. ]

Let's focus on immediate things first. [ like this bubble tea. ]

Huh? [ looks up, realizing it's finally their turn. ] Oh, right! What'll it be, miss robot lover?

[ stares longingly at the mango slushie. ]

And one mocha slush for me, please.

[ takes out his card, handing it over to the cashier. after the transaction is finished and he's signed the recipe, he's tugging her over to the side to wait. ]

[ tugging out her purse, she brandishes it toward lyssa as proof. ]

I can pay you back. [ with her own, hard-earned money this time! ]

[ waves it off. ]

You can pay for lunch instead, how about that?

[ hair poofs a little in her happiness. ]

Can do, yep. [ yaaaay--! ahem. but where would they go for lunch? ] Just the food court?

[ nods, craning his neck to look at said food court. hums in thought. ]

I feel like having tacos.

I want those french fries. [ from taco bell that tastes like tacos & french fries at the same time.
