[ the time has come for the VALENTINE'S DAY event! is currently skipping every which-way in his white and red outfit, wearing pants just like rob requested. ... well, they're shorts, but it was better than a skirt, right?

nonetheless he moves about quickly, greeting and seating people as they come along. everything is practically covered in red, pink, and white hearts, streamers, balloons and flowers all tastefully designed and hung up in a very orderly (but not overpowering) manner. the small, circular tables are set up everywhere, leaving enough space for people to have their privacy. said tables are covered in lacy white tablecloths, a single white, pink, or red rose residing in the middle inside a simple white vase. oh, and the chairs sort of look like this. cute, aren't they?

in short, valentine's day must have thrown up inside the mansion, but at least it didn't look too ridiculous or cluttered. ]

[ DOESN'T WANT TO LOOK OVER HIS SHOULDER, he's just booking it elsewhere. doesn't even notice the deadpan look anna has on his face as he runs past him, either. goodness, those legs can carry him pretty fast. ]

[ making sure he has the card firmly in grip -- not really caring that it's getting a little rumpled -- & chases after. he has a lot of stamina & is slowly gaining on him. his irritation is rising with every second he needs to run. all those sweets is starting to hurt his stomach & cramping him. ]

[ for once he's pretending he doesn't hear him, though he looks over his shoulder finally, notices simon's gaining speed, and sort of lets out his yell/shriek and keeps on going. ]

[ when they're out of range of the party he goes up the stairs, tripping once but uncharacteristically gets back up quickly, heading into one of the rooms.

stops briefly, notices a wardrobe in the corner of the room. panics when simon is in sight again, scrambles inside his safe haven, then shuts the doors firmly, holding them into place. ]

[ breath is starting to be labored (damn you sweets) when he enters the room. looks aruond, checks under the bed, the covers -- everything, before turning to the wardrobe. ]

[ approaches! & then knocks at obnoxiously. ]

[ doesn't. even respond. stays put and slides down the back wall of the wardrobe, putting his head between his legs. tries to catch his breath, feeling like he's about to die. has never run like that in his entire life, my god. ]

[ starting to doubt if oliver's even in there. but sits down, leaning against the wardrobe anyway so that he could finally look at the card in his hands. ]

[ . . . but calms down after a while & kinda. draws up his knees & extends his the hand holding the card away from his face so that he could at it. he's looking pretty pleased. ]

[ hears nothing, but oliver knows he's there, which is why he quietly scoots forward on his knees and sits facing the doors. opens his mouth & then closes it, though lifts his hands and presses them against the place where simon is resting against, leaning forward to press his cheek against the space between.

for some reason it's comforting, but he's not sure why. just takes the tiny, private moment to himself & will think about it later. ]

[ turning it over a little, flips it to its back, turns it upright again -- does that several times, determined to look at it from all angles. ]

[ but then realizes that oliver's still hiding. jumps up to his feet & raises his voice two octaves. ]

HEY! Come out right now!

[ jumps backward at the sudden outburst and smacks the back of his head on the wall behind him. holds the spot and whimper-whines once, looking up at the doors. ]

...

[ slowly and carefully opens them up, but only enough to peer up at simon. waits for the worst, unintentional puppy eyes and all. ]
