[ the time has come for the VALENTINE'S DAY event! is currently skipping every which-way in his white and red outfit, wearing pants just like rob requested. ... well, they're shorts, but it was better than a skirt, right?

nonetheless he moves about quickly, greeting and seating people as they come along. everything is practically covered in red, pink, and white hearts, streamers, balloons and flowers all tastefully designed and hung up in a very orderly (but not overpowering) manner. the small, circular tables are set up everywhere, leaving enough space for people to have their privacy. said tables are covered in lacy white tablecloths, a single white, pink, or red rose residing in the middle inside a simple white vase. oh, and the chairs sort of look like this. cute, aren't they?

in short, valentine's day must have thrown up inside the mansion, but at least it didn't look too ridiculous or cluttered. ]

[ kinda looking overwhelmed, making faces at the decoration not because he doesn't like it but because he -- probably had no say in it. ]

[ but whatever, he will make the most of it & go attack the food. munching on a little bit of everything, but ends up being (predictably) set on the ice cream. ]

[ meanwhile oliver is sort of just. hovering nearby, staring at simon's back, that glittery heart-shaped card in his hand. are his hands shaking? i think they are. ]

[ eventually he steps forward very slowly, then suddenly loses what little courage he has and goes back to his hiding spot, which is behind a door.

half of him wants to just run back upstairs and hide, but remembers how anna helped him even after he messed up five other versions of the same card. doesn't want to disappoint anna and... maybe he doesn't want to disappoint himself. he isn't sure but he knows he has to go sometime or another, which is why he finally starts walking again, though his whole body is shaking by the time he approaches his target. ]

[ munching on a cookie now. looks up at his name, perks up & then frowns. ]

Oh, now you show up. Where were you all day?

[ stares at the cookie. doesn't know if he can eat it because his tummy feels funny, but slips the card behind his back with a hand and takes the cookie anyway. ]

[ strolls in through the doors, looking a little more dressed up than usual. adapts to the scenery quickly, since he's had a lot of time (first hand) to get used to anna's style of decoration. ]

[ rob senses are tingling. hones in on him and does his squealing thing from across the room, rushing up to him to give him a big hug. ]

Rob! You came!

[ hugs back with one arm. ]

Nope, not at all! [ moves to wrap an arm around one of rob's own, starting to lead them both towards the tables. ] You look very nice, by the way.

[ & here he is, loitering at the doorway with two (small) bundles of roses in his arm, attempting to move aside to let more people come and go every now & then. except for the girls who keep hovering nearby. they don't seem to want to do anything except stare at riku.

tries to be somewhat polite as he raises an eyebrow towards them in the corner within a smile, they titter, he sighs. repeat this process one or two times as he waits, knowing that rob coming to him would be easier than him trying to find rob. ]

[ was on his way to riku when he spots -- females! an eyebrow rises slowly, mostly out of amusement (he's had his share of this type of female company back when he was part of this) & decides to delay reaching riku, simply watching. ]

[ --and they approach him finally! or well, one of the girls does, as the rest of the group sort of giggles behind her.

since he's riku he enjoys the attention when people aren't stalking him, which is why he decides to make random conversation, sort of used to the ridiculous "i want to have your babies" looks.

it goes on for a long while before riku decides to be nice and plucks a rose from his second bundle -- they're pink -- and hands it to the girl. cue them looking extremely pleased as they walk off and away finally. riku just... shakes his head and smiles in amusement. ]

[ & cue rob approaching him now, brushing past the girls as quietly as possible, thankfully escaping notice for the large part. instead of the standard hello, he decides to say this instead: ]

You can drop off your resume in the office at the back.

[ descends the stairs slowly, staring at his shoes in thought. is still thinking over anna's words, wondering if he should have said something different, or offered something other than his lame attempt at comforting him. ]

[ his hair's still a little damp, but he looks as he always does -- neat, though not overly neat, neutral. the dressed-up look is gone, replaced by his usual style of shirt & pants as he also makes way for the stairs. ]

[ -- & he hadn't really expected riku to be up on the upper floors (ever), so he has to pause when he seems the familiar mat of hair. frowns a little when he takes note of the odd heaviness that seemed to be weighing on riku's shoulders. it makes him keep his voice low when he calls out. ]

[ snaps out of it and looks over at rob, a little surprised to see him. however he smiles a bit and starts to step towards him. ]

[ walking down the hall, feeling a little... something. he can't really explain it, but he knows he's feeling light and maybe even a little bit pleased, which explains why he's currently in a daze as he continues his wandering towards the stairs. ]

[ had just exited his room, the door closing behind him with a soft click. isn't really paying attention when he turns, getting two steps into the hallway towards the stairs down before he spots someone familiar.

. . . & then realizes belatedly that he should probably make himself known. say hi, maybe, since he planned on seeing oliver before he left. ]

[ jumps slightly, but not enough to seem frightened. is rather calm and maybe even a little... shy. awkward. whatever you'd like to call it. ]
