[ the time has come for the VALENTINE'S DAY event! is currently skipping every which-way in his white and red outfit, wearing pants just like rob requested. ... well, they're shorts, but it was better than a skirt, right?

nonetheless he moves about quickly, greeting and seating people as they come along. everything is practically covered in red, pink, and white hearts, streamers, balloons and flowers all tastefully designed and hung up in a very orderly (but not overpowering) manner. the small, circular tables are set up everywhere, leaving enough space for people to have their privacy. said tables are covered in lacy white tablecloths, a single white, pink, or red rose residing in the middle inside a simple white vase. oh, and the chairs sort of look like this. cute, aren't they?

in short, valentine's day must have thrown up inside the mansion, but at least it didn't look too ridiculous or cluttered. ]

[ ... stops himself, looking down at the table. feels a bit bad since he sort of feels the uncomfortable vibe. takes a sip of his tea in the meantime. ]

Hmm. This is it, actually! Are you surprised~?

I wanted to keep it simple. All people want to do on Valentine's Day is spend it with the person they love, right?

[ if anna's hand was closer, he'd have grabbed it. so he settles with a soft(er) smile. ]

[ lets them bask in the moment, taking some time to let the comfortable silence pass between them. ]

[ ... until anna gets that look in his eyes, one that says 'i'm going to tease you now'. ]

Speaking of, is your loved one coming today? Hm?

[ braces for impact... ]

I don't know. Maybe, to say hi to you.

[ looks SO. PLEASED. that rob didn't give a scowl. thinks he's finally taking it in stride, though, so just beams and nibbles on a tiny PB&J sandwich. ]

Nonsense! I have a special table set up for you two.

[ finally got his hands on that cake he wanted. munching on it. ]

Is that necessary?

Of course it is!

[ suddenly realizes something. puts down his cup and gives a sheepish look. ]

You don't have to, though.

We -- I -- can't stay for the whole day.

[ perks up! ]

That's quite alright, Rob. I know you two want to be alone for Valentine's Day, after all.

[ looks a bit... something (exasperated?), but doesn't seem entirely bothered by it either. ]

. . . what will you be doing after this?

[ doesn't seem to notice, 'cause it's tea sipping time again. ]

Hosting, of course. Until the evening, I believe.

Do you get any time to yourself?

If I want to! But I enjoy doing this. It's more fun than being by myself~

[ wants to say something, but... just nods. drinks more of his tea. ]

[ leans back and smiles, seemingly content with the silence. lets his eyes roam the room, taking in all the people (couples). ]

... it's worth it, Rob. Every one of them has their own individual problems, but we -- I -- can offer a little time away from those worries that burden them.

[ pauses, still taking it all in. ]

I love knowing that I can offer at least this much. Their happiness makes me feel warm. [ lifts a hand, putting it on his heart. ] Right here.

[ turns back to rob, reaching over the table to take his hand as best as he can. tries to catch and keep his gaze. ]

Until the time says otherwise, this is what I live for. [ and him, but he doesn't say it out loud. ] You understand, right?
