[ freezes at the contact, mostly due to surprise & lets out a sigh when his suspicions were proven correct by voice. ]

[ chuckles lightly, not removing herself from her hold. speaks teasingly, a hint of a smile still on her face. ]

[ shoulders slump a little when the surprise subsides, leaving him tired all over again despite having woken from his nap only a few hours ago. runs a hand through his hair & frowns down at the last of his junk & decides that he'll have to move it into his room later. that thought in mind, he adjusts himself a little so it doesn't feel as awkward in her hold, relaxing fraction by fraction. ]

I was gonna go find you after I finished up here. Couldn't wait though, huh?

I was on my way to your brother's room, smarty pants, but if you'd like to think that, well...

[ her playful tone of voice trails off as she removes her arms, taking a few steps to place herself in front of him, arms crossing over her chest. ]

[ snorts & fights down the twitches threatening to lift the corner of his lips. ] Forget it. Like I could look myself in the mirror if I asked you to help.

[ lifts her hands and pushes some of his hair away from his face, idly smoothing the fringes as if she does it all the time. ]

[ pauses. then smirks. ]

Have you been cutting your hair all by yourself again, baby brother.

What's with that tone? I'm telling you, it's all part of my style.

[ shakes his head away from her grasp & combs his hair back the way it was, crosses his arms & gives her a smirk. ]

[ falls back a few steps to look him up and down, placing slender fingers on her chin as if in deep thought. ]

Are you hungry? I'll make something for you if you'd like. You have been eating well, haven't you?

Yeah. Please. We got any rice left? [ doesn't dislodge his arm or even react, instead curling it at the elbow to further hook it with hers as he starts walking in the general direction of the kitchen. ]

Been eating okay, I guess? Friends've been feeding me whenever I look transparent.

[ doesn't answer for a moment or two, the second question overshadowing the first. ]

Hmm. Well that's no good. I'll go shopping for you before you leave, then.

[ gives her an honest look of thanks & grins. ]

Be easier if you could to talk our big brother to give me some more cash.

[ raises an eyebrow, trying not to smirk too much. ]

You make it sound as if I hold the reigns. [ pats his arm. ] I'll put in a good word for you, but you could always ask me too, you know.

[ crinkles his nose. ]

Fuck that. That'd be like stealing money from my mom.

[ bumps his shoulder against hers as they're walking, only a level shy of it being a full bodycheck. ]

And it's more fun being able to fight for it anyway.

[ puts a hand up to hide the wide smile on her face, pleased at his words. controls herself as they finally make it to the kitchen, gently removing herself. ]

If you're sure, then I'll definitely remind him that our starving college boy shouldn't be starving any longer.

Heh. Well, hey, if it works then I'm treating you out to dinner. You got any time for me?
