[ the week had dragged on longer than it should have for brianna, the constant pouring of rain making her more sleepy and tired than usual. most of the hours at home were spent curling up in some unknown part of the mansion to take a long nap, though at the moment she had others plans:

she is currently sitting next to a window with her arms wrapped around her legs, dazing while watching the rain. is not thinking about anything in particular, just simply observing the drops as they stick to the glass, almost as if she's entranced by the motion. does not move, does not speak; it's as if she's a statue. ]

Of course. [ reaches to pick up the rest of the mess, carefully cradling the cup and mugs in her arms. ] You said to not leave you alone.

Oh. [ face breaks out into a smile as he nods. ] ... that's right.

[ looks at the mugs & holds out a hand for one. ] Here.

[ blinks down at his hand and stares at it, allowing him to access one as she carefully shifts one towards him. moves the other two into her hands, looking at them before circling her gaze back to him. ]

[ looks pleased with himself as he slowly turns away to lead them toward the kitchen. ]

[ follows along obediently, taking one last quick look over her shoulder towards the window, as if she is about to miss something terribly important. ]

[ keeps his eyes forward, the shivering (shaking) coming to a stop when they get to the kitchen. puts the mug in the sink & steps aside so that he doesn't get in her way. ]

[ when it's her turn she does the same, not bothering to wash them like she usually does since she finds other matters more important. turns to albert again, ready. ]

[ nods & takes her hand before turning to leave the kitchen toward the large family room, only releasing contact when he is ready to hop onto the couch & wiggle underneath the blanket there. makes himself comfortable & rests the book on his lap, sighing contently as the cold starts to ebb away. ]

[ takes her time as she stands patiently nearby, only moving when albert is finished settling in. quietly takes a seat on the edge of the couch with her hands folded neatly on her lap, her gaze lingering contently on the fireplace in silence. ]

[ looks up from reading, a thought striking him. ]

... you must be bored.

[ tilts her head in his direction, blinking in her own version of confusion. ]

I am never bored when I'm around you.

But... you don't get to do anything. I'm boring.

I can only do things like this... [ holds up his book. ]

Nor have I. [ shifts to face him. ] I suppose this will be difficult, then.

We can still try. [ looks down at his lap. ] Do you think he'd get mad?

[ considers this silently to herself for a moment or two. ]

... I am not sure.

Mmph. [ scrunches his nose, biting his lip as he considers the two opposing thoughts. ]

[ looks him up and down, a quiet observation. suddenly slides out of her seat, turning to face him once more. ]

May I be excused for a moment?
