[ ignores the strange looks from the passing drivers as he travels leisurely on his scooter. the sound of the characteristic putt putt putt noise of his transportation fills the driveway when he arrives in front of the mansion. it takes him another minute (or two) to properly park & put the machine to rest.

straightens & leans back in the seat a little as he takes out his phone to quickly type a text message: let me be your guest, mademoiselle & looks up toward a window to wait. ]

[ thinks briefly about correcting him, deciding against it at the last minute. ]

Then we will leave it up to her if the time should come.

[ blinks downward. removes a hand from anthony's waist to pat at the scooter. ]

[ when they approach a desolate area on the road she repositions her head on anthony's back, looking downward in thought. her words hold an undertone of something between sadness and appreciation when she speaks: ]

[ decidedly puts the rest of his words on hold until he is able to park & get tinkerbell to quiet down. after a moment's hesitation, he decides not to turn around, allowing her some privacy to make any expression that she so chooses. ]

Lyssa. [ short pause. ] What's wrong?

[ stays silent and does not move, simply slumping up against him in deep thought. when she recovers she puts her hands on his shoulders, peering around and at anthony with an encouraging look on her face. ]

It's just a new experience, that's all. I'm not used to it just yet. Hopefully I will be after I move into the dorms! You'll help me, won't you~?

[ nods his understanding. ]

Yeah. [ finally turns a little to glance back. ] You decided to try the dorms?

[ nods happily. ]

Yeah! I've never really been away from my family, so I think it'll be a good experience.

[ is silent for a long moment, thinking. ]

... he told me to go talk to uncle Damon.

[ is also silent, trying to determine whether or not she's joking. ]

Well, he seemed fine with it! A little sad, but I'll visit home as much as possible.

[ puts her head on his shoulder, tilting it a little bit. ]

[ leans back against her gently, tiredly. ]

I hope to be a parent like that someday. [ wraps her arms around his neck, even if she has to shift to a somewhat uncomfortable position. sounds hopeful with her next words: ] Do you think I'd make a good mom?

[ lets himself rest against her, closing his eyes as he smiles. ]

You'd be a great mom, Lyssa. Your kids are lucky.

[ does not push back the shy smile that comes upon her face, feeling an indescribable warmth seep through her at his words as she holds onto him a bit tighter. ]

[ & then she nuzzles his hair, fraying the already flipped strands. ]

No babies yet! Ice cream first, ice cream!

[ movement comes to him gradually, slowly straightening his back as he plucks the key out of his scooter & onto his feet. another beat, then he's offering a hand toward her. ]

I guess I do owe you a strawberry sundae.
