[ isn't entirely there even when the plane comes to a complete stop; the noise ringing in his head is as painful as he remembers it being, making him sway a bit while pressing a hand to his forehead. the world before his eyes seems to double, triple, merge back into one, then double again, while the blueprint-world throbs in noisy emptiness. makes small whimpering noises when they're walking, barely hanging onto consciousness by focusing on that comforting, erratic heartbeat he knows is near.

gropes around for a smaller hand that he knows is around (but can't remember why it would be right this moment) while mumbling absentmindedly under his breath in german, as if he's welcoming himself back home. ]

[ tilts his head upward at nathan with a pleased smile, looking appreciative of the admission despite his next words. ]

Ja. I know.

[ flushes when he sees the smile, eyes swiftly connecting to the floor as he typically does in these types of situations. just holds onto him a bit tighter in a silent reply. ]

[ & seems to relax on cue, leaning his head against nathan's body contently. stays like that for a moment longer before a thought finally strikes him. ]

. . . Bag not here? [ another pause. ] In other room. Big room. For Nathan?

[ seems to snap out of it as well, tilting his head a bit to look at caleb. ]

Big room?

Ja, big room. Up. [ points upward for further emphasis. ] Big as Hilda room. Have bag.

[ as if on cue he looks up. keeps his gaze there in thought. ]

Guess it's for both of us if the bag is in there... maybe.

... ... ...

[ recovers easily. ]

Uh... but. I can sleep wherever. Couch, maybe. You'd probably want to sleep in here anyway.

[ droops a bit, looking conflicted. tightens his hold while shaking his head. ]

Ja. Is old room. But I want to sleep with Nathan, and Nathan is guest. Sleep in bed.

[ shakes his head and offers a small smile. ]

No, it's okay. I don't mind. I'll be fine on my own.

[ tightens his hold even more, bringing nathan closer as he rubs his nose into the other boy's stomach with a furious shake of the head. ]

Nein! Stay with Nathan!

[ is surprised by the sudden contact, jerking a bit when he feels caleb hit a ticklish spot he didn't know he had. ]

O-OKAY OKAY! WHATEVER YOU WANT-!

[ loosens his grip immediately at the yelp. ]

Sleep with Nathan. Bitte?

[ feels like he should be protesting, but ends up just nodding as he relaxes. ]

O-okay...

[ grins up at him. ]

Sing for Nathan if sleep is bad!

[ can't help but laugh at that. pats him on the head. ]

I think I'll sleep fine if I'm with you.

I sleep good with Nathan too. Is good!

[ brings up his other hand to ruffle his hair. ]

Is very good.

[ leans into the petting contently. ]

Sleep here? In big room?

[ releases a hand to poke his nose. ]

Nuh-uh. You're deciding on that one.

[ leans away to shake his head a little, then stares up. ]

Erm. . . but Nathan is guest. Is Hilda house, and is Home, so I am okay.

[ looks at the bed. looks up at the ceiling. looks at the bed again. inhales, exhales, deciding that his comfort doesn't matter as much as caleb's excitement. ]

We can sleep in here.

[ catches that hesitation & tilts his head a little in confusion. ]

Erm. . . is okay?

Sure. I mean, that's her room upstairs or something, right? It's only logical to stay in here.

[ considers this & the nods happily. ]
