[ he's not sure how, but he's absolutely certain that it's one of those mornings where waking up would be a Bad Idea. even when he's only half-awake, he can feel the dull throb in his head, signaling the presence of a progressively worsening migraine. presses a hand to his forehead gingerly as he peeks open one eye. shuts it immediately when the light amplifies the headache even further. somehow manages to roll over onto his side with a soft groan, expression twisting into one of pain as he patterns out his breathing.

several minutes later, reattempts at opening his eyes. is successful this time, leaving him to blink owlishly at the blurry image of the (foreign-but-not) room laid out before him. jerks bodily when he realizes that this is not his room, but tony's. doesn't quite get to the point of throwing himself off the bed, however, hindered quite successfully by the pounding headache. feels slightly better upon realizing that tony's strangely absent, filling him with a sense of hope that he can get away unscathed. as such, he stubbornly pushes down the memories as he wraps his arms around his head, concentrating on breathing & recovering so that he can escape as soon as possible. ]

「 Why? 」

They need more care. Not just water and sunlight.

「 Oh. 」 [ looks at the plants, then over at oliver. points to his back while looking up at anthony again. ] 「 Can he do it too? 」

[ lips twitch into another smile when he glances back at whom hiro had pointed to. ]

He can do it much better. He taught me everything.

[ gives a considering gaze to oliver. nods once. ]

「 Then he's your sensei. Nice sensei? 」

[ also nods. ]

Best sensei.

[ repeats after him: ]

「 Best sensei. 」

[ & then scoots over to oliver, getting close to the ground, as if hunting for a wild animal. when oliver turns around he snaps a picture of him quickly, shuffling back a few paces to stare down at the phone in silence. ]

[ steps forward to peer at the picture as well, then directs his attention toward oliver. ]

Don't worry, boss. He got your good side.

O-Oh... [ shuffles his feet a little bit. ] Um. T-Thank you?

[ nods a few times, holding it up for oliver to see. tugs on his shirt so that they're more on eye-level, turning slightly so that he can take a picture with him and (a rather confused-looking) oliver in it.

pulls away and stands, holding the cellphone up for anthony to see, as if he's expecting a pat or something for a job well done. ]

[ emits a small sound of amusement, then lifts his hand to bury it in hiro's hair as (silently) requested to ruffle at the strands. then tilts a bit when a thought hits him. ]

How about one with all three of us?

[ perks up even further at those words, nodding in agreement. looks up at oliver, tugging on him again before situating himself between them. tries to angle it just right, but after a moment he realizes that he's too short. tugs on their hands to bend down for him, wanting to make sure the shot will be just right. ]

[ lowers himself such that one of his knees is touching the ground, leaving his head to be about level with hiro's. ]

Better?

[ nods to him, then motions for oliver to do the same. when they're all situated he puts up his free hand's fingers into a "V" sign and-- click.

looks down at his cellphone proudly when he brings it back down again, making sure to label it with onii-chan and usagi-sensei written in the filename. ]

[ peers at the photo, then the labels. takes on a pleased blush (yet again) at the 'onii-chan', even if he blinks at what he thinks is supposed to be oliver's title. ]

What's 'usagi'?

[ lets his eyes wander to oliver after anthony asks the question, giving the boy a long, hard look. whips his head back around to his big brother, typing: ]

「 Rabbit. 」

[ stares down at hiro, up at oliver, then back at hiro with a small shrug. ]

. . . That fits. Rabbit or tofu.

[ seems to pick up on the following silence as his cue to say something. just smiles and nods a little. ]

Tofu is very good.

Which do you like better?

[ blinks at the question in baffled silence. looks up at the ceiling, mumbling some small ums and uhs as he glances around the shop. gets increasingly more unsure after about a minute of thinking, quite flustered by the time he looks back at anthony. ]

I-- I don't k-know... I'm sorry-!

[ blinks. ]

Uh. It's okay, boss. You can like. . . both?

[ starts to calm down at that, a small smile on his lips once more. nods a bit after he scrubs at his eyes a little. ]

I like both, then.

[ glances back and forth between anthony and oliver, tilting his head a little. tugs on anthony's sleeve when it seems like the conversation is over with, holding up his phone to him. ]

「 I'm thirsty. 」

[ reads the words quickly & nods. ]

Okay. Do you want water or juice?

「 Juice, please. 」
