[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ ignoring this bout as well, quietly happy with himself that he can distinguish between nathan & aaron being... them versus anything he actually needs to pay attention to & absorb. ]

Merry Christmas, Herr Aaron! Merry Christmas, Frau Hana!

[ sets the apron down beside him when he hears caleb's voice. glances at hana before they begin to open the gifts, tilting his head a little at the second one but automatically putting on the first. lifts his arm to show it off before reaching out with a fist, requesting that caleb bump it with his own. ]

My thanks.

[ & she smiles happily down at her own gifts, also slipping on the bracelet with a shy smile. cups her hands, gently holding onto the cat incense burner. ]

Thank you so much, Caleb-san. I love them!

[ stares at the fist, puzzled for a moment, before he remembers what he has to do. bumps his fist against aaron's obediently with a broad grin. that done, he shifts to aim the expression at hana. seems to vibrate a little, entirely pleased with himself. ]

I am happy Herr Aaron and Frau Hana like!

[ lets his hand fall back down to his side, eyes shifting over to nathan after a small nod in caleb's direction. a pause later: ]

Well?

[ looks up from fiddling with the dog plush, blinking. glances away and clears his throat, pointing over at the gifts they just received from caleb. ]

Uh. They were joint gifts.

Liar. [ lifts his hands to cup them around his mouth, booing a little. ] Cheapskate.

S-SHUT UP! God, you're gonna get coal or something, you jerk!

[ while they go back and forth she glances at aaron, at the ground, then at aaron again. taps his knee with a finger. ]

S-Should I...?

Huh? [ lets his hands rest on his lap, looking over at hana again, then back at caleb and nathan. ] Ah. Right. We've got one more gift for you guys.

[ nods a few times in agreement, pulling out one last box (the last (http://i53.tinypic.com/358dhsh.jpg) gifts (http://i52.tinypic.com/654rkg.jpg)) from her bag. slowly hands it to caleb. ]

It's... it's for you both. To share.

[ takes the camera first & hands it off to nathan for the other boy to inspect while he blinks down at the... monitor-like box in his hands. ]

Danke! What is this?

Digital frame. [ taps the edge of it with a finger. ] Take photos with the camera then put them into that.

[ expression softens, however briefly, in understanding as he stares down at the frame. ]

D-- [ stops. considers his words for a moment. ] Thank you.

[ briefly glances over at nathan inspecting the camera in silence. just gives a small nod to caleb, trying to sound nonchalant about it despite the hidden meanings. ]

Mm. Thought it'd be useful.

We take a lot of pictures!

Enough to fill up the entire frame?

[ lifts a hand to pat caleb's head. ]

That's what I like to hear.

[ caleb senses tingling. turns his head to stare at aaron, giving him a not-so friendly look. ]

[ lifts both his hands up in a defeated manner. ]

Yeah, I get it. No touchy.

[ is too busy happily looking over her gifts to notice much of anything, only looking up when a thought pops into her mind. ]

Oh! I have... um. [ takes out four wooden block (http://i54.tinypic.com/2mguoly.jpg)-looking things, passing them around to everyone. ] These. For team.

[ leans away from where he'd been tilted into the petting to take one of the blocks, peering at it curiously. ]

Is what?

It's for wishes. [ turns it over, staring at the blank spot on the back. ] For the new year. You write whatever you want on the back of it.

[ nods, turning to look at caleb. ]

Usually it is for New Year. But we can do it now. [ shyly adds on: ] Put it on tree?
