[ her daily routine started off as it usually did: crawling out of bed and plopping on the floor, letting out a little oof! at the impact. picking herself up, she makes her way to her bathroom in a hurry to do her business, throwing her hands up in the air when she scurries out into her room in a victory! fashion. after that she throws open her closet and drawers, rummaging around to pick out an outfit for the day.

pulls her shirt over her head, snaps her jumper on, then picks up her pajamas to set them on her bed neatly; her personal (ninja) maid would surely put it into the wash for her. fistpumps once, quickly crawling onto her bed to pet ~~her fat kitty~~ catbert, telling him to be good while she goes to find daddy before zipping out of the room at top-speed.

says a quick HI, BYE! to one of the maids along the way, zooming and rolling around to peer into every corner to find albert. stands up from peeking underneath a bed to tap her chin, going AH-HAH! when a thought strikes her; the study was her final destination. and when she gets there and sees her daddy she snickers, quietly crawling on the ground slowly so that he wouldn't notice her right away. peeks up over the table, beaming when she sees a plate of cheese there. shifty-eyes to albert, reaching a hand out to nab a few pieces and plop onto the ground.

& that's the pattern she'll have for a while, continuing on ~~stealing~~ nomming down the cheese as quietly as possible, her previous mission long forgotten in the face of a cheesy-delicious breakfast. ]

[ reaches over to give nathan's hair a few light ruffles. ]

If you're certain. I will set a plate aside for you if you wish to eat it at a later time.

[ stands up a bit straighter at that, nudging the hand encouragingly. ]

Guess that means I'll have to come back after I finish my business.

[ THIS FACE. reaches up to tug on albert's sleeve with her free hand. ]

Daddy, pick me up!

[ blinks, looking a bit conflicted for a moment. gives nathan's head two more pats before he reaches down to pick his little girl as ~~ordered~~ told. adjusting her weight in his arms briefly, he raises an eyebrow down at alyssa. ]

Is this satisfactory, little princess?

[ wiggles happily in his arms. ]

Yes. [ leans forward to give him a big kiss on the nose. ] I love you, daddy.

[ shakes his head in amusement, turning slightly while giving a short wave. ]

See ya later, then.

I love you as well. [ plants a kiss of his own to alyssa's forehead. then pulls away briefly to bid nathan a proper goodbye. ]

Do not let the pancakes sit on the counter for too long, baby brother.

How could I ever do that to my precious pancakes?

[ gives a brief dramatic look, reaching over to pat alyssa on the head before heading off. ]

[ resists the urge to bite him and instead sticks her tongue out at his back. turns back to albert, wrapping her arms around his neck. ]

Pancakes!

[ glances down at her amusedly. ]

I'll need both my hands to make said pancakes.

[ hugs him closer. ]

Not until we get to the kitchen~

[ shakes his head in amusement, silently consenting. he then restarts heir route to the kitchen; it doesn't take too long with his long strides, & as soon as they're within the limits of their destination, he looks down at alyssa pointedly. ]

This will be your stop, little princess.

Aw phooey.

[ but she wiggles anyway, signaling that she's ready. when her feet hit the floor she scurries off to the stove. tries to peek up and over at it, as if it'll turn on any second and do all the work for them. ]

[ picks up her (pink) utensils from the counter & hands it down to her to take & set on the table. ]

I'll need my space to make proper pancakes.

[ turns back to albert to take them from him. holds them up high, puffing out her chest as much as she can. ]

I believe in you, daddy! Fight!

[ ... and then she runs off to set the table. ]

[ while he shakes his head one more time in yet another bout of amusement before getting to work. it's something of an automatic process now, making the pancake batter & adding in the chocolate chips. after picking out the necessary tools to complete his project, he puts on a fresh pot of coffee for himself while the stove is heating. a few minutes later, he has the first few pancakes made & transferred onto a plate. adding the little extra touches that he knows alyssa likes, he sets his completed dish onto the table before her. ]

Breakfast is served.

[ already has her utensils in place, one in each hand as she hums some song as albert works. gasps when the pancakes are finally deposited in front of her, bouncing a little in her seat. raises her arms. ]

Pancakes!

[ & that's all she'll say for now, happily munching on them. ]

[ goes to fetch himself his cup of coffee now. picking out her cat-cup, he asks over his shoulder: ]

Have you decided on your choice of drink?

[ stops and swallows before she replies. ]

Milk, please!

[ fetching her beverage quickly, he sets down her cup to her right before settling into the chair across from where she's seated. after taking a quick sip of his coffee to test its taste, he's back at the stove, making a few more pancakes for nathan as promised. ]

[ while she continues noming, picking up the milk with both of her hands to take a big gulp. that's the pattern she'll have for a little bit longer, only stopping to tilt her head back to try and look at albert somehow. ]

Daddy they're delicious!

[ chuckles quietly as he turns off the stove upon the completion of the last pancake for his baby brother. putting that aside, he picks up his cup of coffee to at last join her at the table, settling into the seat across from hers. ]

Ah, is that right? Then, if you had to give it a rating?

[ quietly contemplates this... then raises both of her hands, spreading out her fingers as much as possible. ]

Ten! [ pauses. raises her legs a little. ] Twenty!

[ raises a brow. ]

On a scale of one hundred?

[ blank look. puts down her knife and fork, attempting to count on her fingers. ]

Ten! Twenty! Forty! Eleven! Eighty-eight! One hundred!
