[ circles around to face her boys when they get inside of the park, taking out her handy dandy map to look over it. doesn't take too long in deciding what to do first; hands go on her hips, giving them a look as if she's leading an army going to war, though the smile on her face adds something more pleasant onto the double-meaning. ]

So I was thinking that we should split up first and meet up for lunch later. It's pretty crowded today. Going in twos is the best option, since we don't want to lose any short people.

[ looks really pleased, shoving two of them in the cashier's face. pays for them without second thought, handing one to damon, but not before giving him a look. ]

[ unwraps his own, giving damon a snort. ]

Don't you worry. This ain't as nearly has difficult to finish as ice cream.

[ starts noming on his own, eyebrows rising in approval. ]

[ keeps munching until he's half-way done, expression betraying how pleased he is with the taste. ]

[ heaves a dramatic sigh & rolls his eyes at him and continues eating, wandering off to enter one of the shops. ]

[ lingers outside the shop underneath a shade, munching on the treat. ]

[ turns when he notices damon's not following, giving him a look. ]

What're you doin'?

[ takes a seat shortly afterward on the ground. looks up at him. ]

I ain't going anywhere. Go on in.

[ observes him for a while before shrugging, taking his time in wandering about the shop. ]

[ rubs at his forehead in exhaustion, forcing a cough out of his throat to clear it. munches slowly on the remainder of the pickle as he waits for nathan to come back out, finally taking the time to do some people watching himself, eyes lingering only on siblings or couples. ]

[ & this is the part where nathan gets distracted, too busy picking things up and either shaking them or prodding them with a few fingers. decides after a large handful of minutes later that he's content with what he's seen, wandering back out again with the rest of the pickle shoved into his mouth and his hands slipping into his pockets.

looks down at damon, not saying anything because, well. pickle. ]
