[ sneezes & sighs, shivering as he emits a small groan as the pounding of his head intensifies for the moment. slouches a bit so that he can press his face into brianna's shoulder, his body tucked against hers as close as possible in a (futile) attempt at borrowing some of her heat.

still, he has enough energy to look up when a nurse calls a name (thankfully not his or hers). closes his eyes again afterward, sighing quietly in relief. feels terrible, but the dread & fear of the woman behind the doctor's door is enough to make him cough out a few words. ]

I want to go home...

[ nods in acknowledgment, though doesn't say anything after that. leads him towards the car in silence, opening the door for him when they get there. ]

[ blinks a little & cracks a tiny smile, a bit embarrassed, even as he slips into the car anyway. ]

[ tilts her head a bit, getting in & shutting the door behind herself. ]

[ shakes his head quickly & takes a moment to still the dizzying before answering. ]

[ blinks at his action, pausing in smoothing out her dress. ]

[ another tilt of her head, another silent question. ]

[ sits kinda awkwardly, fidgeting a bit. ]

I meant... you're still not a boy.

[ tries to look him in the eye, speaking a little slowly, maybe even hesitantly. ]

[ stays silent for a moment, turning her gaze back down to her lap. feels her face get warm, though her expression does not change. ]

[ nods & sits still in his seat, looking out the window once in a while (but never at her), silent in his embarrassment. ]

[ does not say anything for a while herself, busy with more thoughts that are soon taking over. cannot help herself when she indulges in her curiosity: ]

[ scrunches up the bunch of material in her hands, fiddling idly with it. smooths it out again, closing her eyes. ]

... no, nevermind. I apologize.

[ looks at her curiously, nibbling on his lower lip for a moment. ]

Um... it's okay to ask. If you want to.

[ stays silent to think things through. in the end she only slides one of her hands over to his, not taking it but just simply touching it with the side of her own. ]

[ nods & doesn't move his hand, smiling a bit to show that he enjoys the light touch. ]

[ lets that be that as she tips her head to the side to press it up against the window of the car, lazily watching the scenery pass them by. ]

[ does the same on his side of the seat, tucking himself against the door of the car as he rests his forehead against the cool glass of the window. ]

[ when they come to a stop in front of the mansion she straightens quickly, jumping out of the car first to go open albert's door again. reaches her hand out, an invitation. ]

[ looks up & seems to shake off the role reversal faster this time, reaching for her hand without missing a beat. shuffles himself out of the car & holds her hand firmly, not wanting to let go. ]

[ seems satisfied enough as she leads them both towards the entrance, glancing at him in the corner of her eye every now and then. ]
