[ it felt like bad luck the moment his cellphone rang and woke him up after four hours of sleep. it felt like even worse luck when said person on the other line told nathan that he would be saying hello to their fifth and final member to the 'team'-- alone, which was apparently due to personal reasons from his other three co-workers. this did not deter nathan from furiously texting aaron in anger, only to get a short can't come as a reply. he didn't even bother texting hana, as she still had difficulties texting with an english-language phone, but he still called her and got her voicemail message, which only made him seethe even further.

the anger eventually subsided when coffee was deposited into his hands, drinking his life force happily (or as happy as nathan could get) while turning the corner from starbucks to sit on one of the many chairs littering the front of the shop. once he settled in and tossed his bag onto the table, nathan finally felt like all was right in the world, completely forgetting his original objective for the day. his coffee was his second love, after all, and it deserved his complete and undivided attention. ]

[ rests his hand back on his own leg, slowly, carefully raising an eyebrow. ]

[ does a few more internal tests & then sighs, shoulders sagging with relief. ]

Nathan is right. Car is safe.

[ looks as if he's puffing out his chest a little bit, proud in a somewhat strange manner. ]

Of course I'm right. I'm always right!

[ nods agreeably, sinking further into his seat. ]

[ stays silent at that, looking out the window to keep himself from feeling too weird (abashed, really) over caleb's agreement. goes silent as they continue on their drive, hoping that they'll be approaching the mansion soon. ]

[ glances at nathan & decides to stay silent, noting the exhaustion, amusing himself by watching the moving scenery without feeling (too) sick to concentrate. ]

[ presses his forehead against the glass again, relaxing fraction by fraction as he allows his thoughts go blank. blinks himself out of his stupor when the driver announces their arrival, sitting up straight again as they finally pull to the front of the mansion.

steps out of the car when the door is opened for him, placing a hand in his pocket as he turns to wait for caleb. ]

[ takes a moment when the sounds hit him again, but already glancing around in response to the sheer size of the place. ]

[ nudges caleb to the front door, lingering behind to look at the driver with a stern look on his face. ]

Tell Albert about this and I'll have you fired.

[ walks off to join caleb, knocking on the door twice before someone opens it for them. just walks past the maid who welcomes him back, drinking some more of his frappuccino. ]

[ lagging behind, glancing around in all directions, even taking a moment to look at the maid. ]

[ pauses so he could side-glance at caleb, feeling... almost amused/curious himself, even if his expression slowly changes into something less. ]

Well, we can't stay here for very long... [ scratches the back of his head, not knowing how to really go about this. ] Uh. Follow me, I guess.

[ follows along, carefully keeping himself to the middle of the hallway to put a distance between himself and the expensive-looking decorations. ]

[ leads him up two flights of stairs, turning a corner to make his way towards his room. glances around, as if trying to see if anyone was around. when all is clear he opens his door, mindful to keep it open for caleb to enter. ]

[ shuffles in rather quickly, curious to see things up close. pauses in the start of his mini-exploration, however, when a particular scent catches his attention instead. ]

[ sets his semi-empty cup on the edge of his desk, not making an effort to clean the only messy thing in his room: his bed. instead he sits on it and places his bag next to him, leaning back to prop his hands behind him. blinks a bit at caleb when he hears him, curious. ]

Yeah, I have this girlfriend who puts on way too much perfume before coming over to visit. It's pretty annoying.

[ emits a small 'oh' & nods, as it makes sense-- & then quickly shuffles closer to nathan, speaking slightly lower as if they're conversing about something scandalous. ]

Girlfriend?! Nice look? Old? When visit? I hide good! Can go too?

[ veers back a little bit at the sudden movement, almost falling atop his bed fully. blinks owlishly, slowly sitting up again to look at the ground. ]

Uh... I was just kidding...
