[ is standing near the entrance of the starbucks where he had first met nathan, looking strangely compliant & calm as he listens & reacts (as quietly & discreetly as he's capable) to the bustling crowd of the afternoon. it's not so busy as to give him a headache, but busy enough to keep him entertained as he waits for his teammate/friend. ]

[ removes himself from caleb to pick up the bag he left in the living room, swinging it up over his head to rest the strap diagonally across his chest. shifts the item a bit before walking to the door, opening it to take the first few steps out. ]

I dunno. [ shoves his hands in his pockets as they go along, craning his neck up towards the sky. ] What kind of place are you looking for, anyway?

[ keeps following after, speaking quietly, almost as if it wasn't meant to be heard. ]

[ almost didn't hear him at first, too engrossed in following the mental map in his head of the area. soon lets out a small "hm?" in reply, shifting his gaze over to caleb. but when he catches on he looks down at his shoes in thought. ]

[ thinks about it, kicking an invisible pebble along the way. decides to shrug. ]

[ stops too, looking as honest as he gets. ]

Ja, I am serious! A lot! Is good together!

[ arms go across his chest while he rolls his eyes. lifts a finger, prodding caleb's chest to emphasize his point: ]

[ automatically follows, but catches the murmur, making him perk up immediately. ]

I am happy! [ scurries over a little closer, trying to communicate as clearly as possible. ] Happy here, with Nathan and with team!

[ seems to regain composure quickly, though; shakes his head and lets out an amused huff of air. lifts a hand to pat caleb's head, almost a little affectionately without realizing it. his tone is a little softer as well. ]

You get excited so easily. What'm I gonna do with you...
