[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

Really? Hmm...

[ begins to make a beeline over there anyway. ]

[ jerks forward a bit, but follows along. stares at the back of tony's head a little blankly, uncertain if he should be (still) confused or embarrassed. ]

. . . Want a sandwich?

[ looks over his shoulder with an excited expression on his face. ]

Yeah! How many you got?

Enough to feed Alyssa.

Then I'll take five!

Sure. But sitting first.

[ shuffles over there quickly when he hears his words. lets go of his friend's hand and sits, looking up at him with sparkling eyes ~~and a wagging tail~~. ]

[ shakes his head a little at the expression & sets the plushies down on the table when he gets within reach to swing his backpack around. shuffles around for a paper bag, handing it over when he gets a hold of it. ]

In there. Need water?

[ takes it and opens it, peering inside like an excited child on christmas morning. takes out a few of the sandwiches, sniffing and examining them to make sure they're the right kinds he wants. just shrugs and picks out a handful. ]

Sure.

[ settles into the seat across from tony. hands a water bottle over too. ]

Remember to chew, Skippy.

[ had already begun to eat by the time anthony takes a seat, only pausing to take the water. ]

Arf arf!

[ glances back briefly at where they left alyssa & the twins. turns back around & reaches for a sandwich of his own with a shrug. ]

How many stars?

Fifty!

[ noms some more. ]

[ looks rather pleased. takes a bite of his sandwich, then gives a small kick to tony's foot when a thought strikes him. ]

Easy. Second lunch is coming too.

[ jerks a bit within the impact, stopping and looking up to droop at anthony. ]

But it's so good...

Lyssa will rage.

She'll be too distracted to notice.

[ pauses. then nods in defeat. ]

. . . Right. Children.

[ goes back to his sandwich, munching on a second one. ]

And you.

[ reaches for a water bottle & blinks. ]

. . . ?

[ keeps on eating, only stopping when he notices the look anthony is giving him. shrugs a bit. ]

What? Y'guys were getting all comfy over there.

[ blinks again. ]

But that's normal.

[ stares at him for a moment. another shrug before he goes back to his food. ]

Haven't seen it in a while, I guess.

[ twitches a bit in shock, returning the stare. then glances down at the table top. ]

But you haven't seen us together lately.

[ murmurs against his water bottle: ]

That too, yeah.
