[ hits send on the text message to alyssa -- that he's coming to visit for a short while -- before he starts up his scooter & steers himself in the direction of nathan's apartment. his backpack is holding only one thing, but it's precious enough of a bundle that he wears the backpack against his stomach. ignores the looks he's getting both on & off the street, parking tinkerbell in her usual corner spot. it's been almost two weeks since he's saw her (two weeks to recover), which is why he'd armed himself with a present in apology.

stands in front of the door to the stairs for a moment, wondering if he's feeling up to the physical exertion today-- then just changes direction to walk in the direction of the elevator. glances up at the ceiling of it when he's on board & pressed the proper number, feeling a little nervous for no reasons he could consciously finger. decides to shrug it off the best he can when he shuffles off it, rummaging around his backpack to take out the wrapped present before something (someone?) in front of a door catches his eye.

... stops. blinks. ]

. . . ? [ belatedly realizes that the boy is front of the door he needs to reach, making him pause, blink & speak: ] . . . Hi.

But it doesn't seem too bad. If it's only you and your parents.

「 I like it. It's usually just me and mom. 」

[ tugs them into the elevator when it arrives, tilting his head toward hiro in curiosity. then finally decides it's an innocent enough a question to ask. ]

Usually? What about your dad?

[ peers up at him curiously. ]

He's away a lot, so I never remember.

[ when he hears those words he stares at the elevator doors with intense concentration, waiting for them to open with grand anticipation of the things to come. ]

[ tugs them forward yet again when the elevator dings their arrival, walking half-way down the hallway until they get to the appropriate door. unlocks & swings it open to reveal a cozy living room (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Airleas/94174_21.jpg) with several pots & trays of budding plants resting in every free corner. toes off his shoes & lets go of hiro's hand to wander in, dropping the helmet on the couch before walking into a small kitchen (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/Airleas/small-kitchen-design-2.jpg) attached to it. ]

[ briefly looks surprised at anthony taking off his shoes (he's been told otherwise about the general american population), taking off his own quickly before he steps inside, placing them down neatly to the side. scoots behind anthony to nod up at him in silence. ]

[ nods & goes to open the fridge to take out the three that he has -- orange, apple & cranberry. lines them on the counter. ]

[ is about to choose before he pauses, swinging his backpack around to unzip it and rummage inside. pulls out a few things and sets them in a row on the ground, standing back up straight when he finds what he needs.

This is cool. [ then starts staring/fiddling with it, trying to see how it's opened. ]
