[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ bumps their foreheads together. ]

Nein. Can always be better. And I will try, for Nathan. Hero can protect, and I promise Nathan.

[ slowly smiles at that, nudging him a little. ]

I know. I trust you.

[ presses a soft kiss to the bridge of nathan's nose, lingering for a moment. ]

Danke. I try. A lot.

Maybe I should get you a cape, then.

Ja! And mask!

[ lifts a fist. ]

Super Caleb, the masked wonder!

[ attempts at posing despite his position. ]

Fwoosh!!

[ laughs, removing his arms to instead lift them and ruffle caleb's hair. ]

Yeah, like that!

[ leans into the ruffling happily. ]

I like! We be hero together?

[ grunts a little, looking away. ]

I wouldn't make a good hero.

But Nathan in SAVE? Nathan is very good in SAVE!

Yeah, but a hero is all... heroic and stuff. I just do my job.

Not all hero is heroic! Batman is mean!

Batman isn't mean! He's just... you know, the Dark Knight! He's gotta be secretive and stuff!

But. . . Superman is secret, but he is not mean.

... that's beside the point!

Erm. That is not point. . . ?

[ moves back enough so that he can cross his arms over his chest. ]

The point is that I'm Batman and you're Superman.

[ looks... even more confused. ]

But Nathan is not mean? And Batman is still hero?

I recognize him as an antihero. And I'm meaner than you. [ pauses for a moment. ] Grr.

[ just stares at. ]

[ stares back... then sighs and flops backwards onto the couch. ]

Nevermind.

[ rests a hand in nathan's head before starting to stroke at the strands idly. ]

Nathan is hero to me.

[ looks away, blushing. ]

Guess that's all that matters...

To me, ja. And to a lot of people that Nathan help.
