[ double-checks that everything in the house is straightened and in its proper place, despite having cleaned everything earlier that morning. a few peeks up the stairs towards her brother's room is the only other movement she makes besides nudging things here and there, taking a seat on the edge of a chair when she realizes that it probably won't be very long now. is quite aware (was made aware) that her brother had tricked anthony into thinking they were going to meet at twelve instead of twelve-thirty, but still can't help but glance outside the front window every few minutes to make sure that she would be there when he arrived. ]

[ blinks, peering at the stairs. looks back to anthony after a moment. ]

Big brother?

Yeah. He was promoted this afternoon.

Oh. That must mean that you like him a lot, right?

[ adds the rest of the pasta, turning his eyes away. ]

That question has no right answer.

What do you mean?

I'm doomed with either option.

[ looks down, shifting a bit to stir the vegetables a little. ]

Oh... well, he seems to like you a lot, so...

[ nods. ]

Yeah. I'm slowly catching up to his standards.

[ gives an absent nod as well, blinking when she remembers something. once again turns to the stairs. ]

I wonder what could be taking him so long...

He bought a new laptop. He could be testing it.

I think he left his purchases at the front door, though.

Then he's obviously plotting world domination.

Why would he do that?

To extend soccer's reach to the stars above, of course.

[ & suddenly, he's standing at the entrance of the kitchen, arms crossed over his chest while he heaves a sigh. ]

What are you going on about now?

[ jerks in surprise, nearly knocking over the pot of cooking pasta. ]

Holy Gundam!

[ while she perks up at the sight of him. ]

Ah! Hello, big brother!

[ gives a short nod, moving closer to them so he could lean on the side of the counter. blinks at anthony. ]

You're helping?

[ presses back as much as he (safely) can, still a bit high on adrenaline. ]

Yeah. Pasta. Boiling water.

[ just gives a considering look in silence, as if second-guessing him. ]

He's a great helper, big brother! [ scoots closer. ] Would you like to help, too?

I suppose. Shall I set the table?

[ nods, moving to take down the plates. hands them over. ]

Here you go.

[ gives his own share of a nod as he takes them, making sure to grab the utensils before wandering off towards the dining room in silence. ]

[ turns his gaze back to the pasta. reaches over to dim the heat, shaking his head. ]

Uh. Pasta's good.
