[ zooming across the hallways and poking his head inside almost every classroom's door, tony adamantly searches for a certain fair-haired boy. nobody around him questions this quest, already knowing that said person he's looking for could only be one out of three: anthony, an unfortunate victim due to (half-)sharing the same name as tony, alyssa, a girl who everyone and their mom seemed to like (specifically all the boys who persistently tried to get her to date them), and riku, the unlucky son of a bitch who seemed to have the worst luck in the world, but was still the hottest teacher in the entire school.

who would it be this time?

it's not until he turns a corner into the sophomore hallway that he spots his target finally. stopping in the middle of the hallway while throwing his hands up in the air, he shouts: ]

CHOCOBOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!

But now I have to give you more change.

[ whaps. ]

Stop it!

[ rubs his head. ]

Okay, okay. No more abuse.

[ beams, twirling ahead of him. ]

So where do we get on this bus?

[ points to the bus stop a few distance away. ]

Right there. Should get to the mall in four stops.

[ when they approach it she does an 'ooo' and 'aaah' type of observance, peering at it happily. ]

I've never seen this up close before!

[ peers down at the bench and notices an older lady sitting there; waves and says hello. ]

[ just stands by while she examines everything, keeping his eye on the street for the bus. a few minutes later, it arrives; pulls alyssa back until everyone else gets on first, nudging her along afterward so that she can get on without feeling rushed or pushed. ]

Are there any free seats?

Hmm... [ peers around momentarily, and then: ] --ah!

[ hurries to the back of the bus where two seats are open, albeit there's little space around them. just takes a seat anyway, wiggling around to get comfortable. ]

[ follows after, squeezing into the seat next to alyssa & a rather plump man to his left, keeping his backpack held to his chest out of necessity. takes another second before making another effort to lean away from the stranger & towards alyssa, seeking contact with someone he recognizes & prefers. ]

[ is too busy looking at everyone around them to properly notice, waving and saying hello to anyone that meets her gaze. digs into her bag and happily offers them mints as they continue on their trip. ]

[ leans his head on her shoulder now, only half-dozing as he keeps his ears alert for the voice announcing the stops. ]

[ reaches down to hold his hand as she chats up a storm with some middle-aged man who seems very interested in her and her companion. ]

Yes, he is my knight and shining armor. He's very brave.

[ blinks when he hears the man's voice, raising his head a little just in case the man's face had an imminent date with his knuckles. speaks lowly, only for her ears. ]

I come with rabies.

[ tilts her head a bit to press the side of her cheek up against his head, not being able to stop herself from giggling lightly. ]

Shh.

I'm behaving.

Uh-huh~ [ quiets when she hears another announcement for a stop coming up. glances curiously at tony. ] Will they call our names when we arrive?

They'll call our stop.

But how will they know it's our stop if they don't know our names?

Other way around. We know our own stop.

But I don't know our stop! Did we miss it?

[ just nudges at her cheek with his head gently. ]

We didn't.

[ holds onto his hand a bit tighter, giving a tiny pout. ]

Okay...

[ doesn't seem to mind, simply giving her a look that only she could read as amused. ]

I can be trustworthy in dire situations.

I know. [ reaches over with her free hand to stroke at his hair a little fondly. ] I'd trust you with my life.

[ remains quiet, feeling a little awkward & unwilling to be sarcastic in the face of her honesty. merely gives her a light nudge in his form of acknowledgment & agreement. ]
