[ is standing near the entrance of the starbucks where he had first met nathan, looking strangely compliant & calm as he listens & reacts (as quietly & discreetly as he's capable) to the bustling crowd of the afternoon. it's not so busy as to give him a headache, but busy enough to keep him entertained as he waits for his teammate/friend. ]

[ & off he goes, bumping into chairs & walls as he leaves the kitchen, but manages to focus enough to leave the important areas untouched as he returns to the living room where he had left nathan & aaron. ]

[ lifts his eyes away from aaron when he hears caleb approach, the noise stopping him mid-sentence in their conversation. stares up at him, straight-faced. slowly gives him this look. ]

... wow, I didn't think you'd take me seriously on the whole 'running away' thing. Was it really that bad?

Did not cook. I cut! Frau Hana cook. She cook fish and soup?

[ just starts walking to the table, already knowing his position. sits at the head as nathan flops near him, only nodding politely to hana when she slowly brings the food to the table.

glances at caleb, pointing towards the remaining chairs. ]

[ glances at the chairs & picks the seat without the chopsticks set in front of them, next to nathan. ]

[ looks satisfied enough, settling further into his seat. when the table is full of food and hana sits he twiddles his thumbs a bit, raising an eyebrow at the stares he's getting from a certain midget and girl.

sighs, lifting his glass of water. ]

So. Welcome to the team, Caleb.

[ shrugs when it's his turn, taking a drink of his coke instead of saying anything. already thinks he did his share of welcoming, after all. ]
