[ tucked against the corner of the couch, head lolling a bit as he dazes, an arm loosely wrapped around nathan's waist. the touch is as unintrusive as it gets -- relaxed and open so that nathan can get away anytime he wishes. twitches once in a while in his daze, however, still relatively aware as people appears & disappears in the map in his head. ]

[ goes along quite readily, nuzzling her shoulder a bit before squirming into a more comfortable position. ]

< I think Hilda can take them all on by herself. But I'm glad Hilda doesn't have to. >

[ distractedly reaches over with a foot to nudge their snacks into caleb's lap, too lazy and content to snatch them up properly with her hand. ]

[ picks up the snack & opens the bag, offering it toward hilda first. ]

< No, Hilda does! Do you like your new home too? >

[ laughs fondly, reaching in to grab one of the packages and open it. ]

< Of course I do! I can live anywhere and be happy. >

[ takes one for himself now, biting into the treat when he pries it open from its wrapping. ]

< I'll come visit too! I miss home everyday. >

[ leans over a bit to nuzzle the top of his head with her face. ]

< I know you are! I know! >

[ then pulls back, patting his head with a hand. ]

< But for now, how about you get us something to drink? This is a celebration, after all! >

[ nods & gets to his feet. ]

< Water? Juice? Beer? >

[ throws her hands up in the air, looking excited. ]

< Beer! Beer! >

[ goes in & out of the kitchen as quickly as his legs allow, bringing back beer for hilda & strawberry milk for himself. ]

< American beer isn't as tasty, but it doesn't make me dizzy as fast. >

[ pauses in mid-drink, as if she just realized something. ]

< Americans under 21 aren't allowed to drink, though. A silly rule, but you aren't getting yourself into any trouble, now are you? >

< I think I'm okay. Nathan would have told me if I was. And I'm German, so I'm not doing anything wrong, right? >

< I just want to make sure you're safe and sound, that's all. It's much more different here than it is back at home, you know? >

... [ decides to lean forward a bit again, looking up at him curiously. ] < So Nathan is your mentor? >

[ almost looks a little confused. ]

< But he does not live with you? >

[ shakes his head again & leans back a little on the couch. ]

< He has a big house, and a family. I don't think he likes it there too much, but it's still family. This team lives apart. >

[ suddenly looks worried, reaching out to stroke his hair. ]

< You aren't lonely because of this, are you? Should I talk to them about it? Find you a roommate? >
