[ tucked against the corner of the couch, head lolling a bit as he dazes, an arm loosely wrapped around nathan's waist. the touch is as unintrusive as it gets -- relaxed and open so that nathan can get away anytime he wishes. twitches once in a while in his daze, however, still relatively aware as people appears & disappears in the map in his head. ]

[ is almost too busy with his work to even recognize where he is at current, a scowl on his face as he types furiously on his laptop; it's a distraction at best. stops and blinks when he realizes that caleb's head is nodding a bit, a cue for him to glance his way. ]

[ after some silence he nudges caleb's head gently with the top of his own. ]

[ makes a lazy, half-startled 'mrr' noise in response, still sleepy but obediently coming to at the nudge & nathan's voice. ]

[ shakes his head slowly. ]

Nein. I am okay. I like sleep here.

[ eyes him suspiciously... then shrugs and goes back to his work, shifting slightly to lean into him more. ]

[ blinks & peers around the hand down at nathan's head. ]

[ lifts that hand further up, ruffling his hair a bit. ]

[ makes a pleased noise against the ruffling, nudging & nuzzling the palm a bit. ]

[ touch becomes a little more gentle, a tiny smile appearing on his face. ]

[ looks even more pleased at this, giving one enthusiastic nod. ]

[ shakes his head fondly and goes back to his paper, slumping down a bit more in caleb's (light) hold. ]

[ hugs him a little closer, settling back into the couch to continue his light napping. ]

[ tranquility does not last long, however, as he sits upright the next minute. his expression is a bizarre combination of shock & happiness. nudges at nathan urgently. ]

. . . ! Nathan! Nathan!!

[ jumps slightly, nearly falling off the couch when caleb moves, gripping onto the edge of the couch to steady himself. ]

W-what!?

[ is steadily losing his coherency in favour of excitement, scrambling away from behind nathan to somehow roll himself onto the floor. ]

I-- is-- very good! Door!!

[ looks at him like he just grew three heads. slowly shuts his laptop, but does not reply, hoping that if he stays quiet he'll elaborate more. ]

[ except the elaboration that follows is in the form of excited german as he bounds for the door, stumbling & crashing into furniture on the way. ]

[ & right on beat as well, he swings the door open & bodily throws himself at the visitor. ]
