[ isn't entirely there even when the plane comes to a complete stop; the noise ringing in his head is as painful as he remembers it being, making him sway a bit while pressing a hand to his forehead. the world before his eyes seems to double, triple, merge back into one, then double again, while the blueprint-world throbs in noisy emptiness. makes small whimpering noises when they're walking, barely hanging onto consciousness by focusing on that comforting, erratic heartbeat he knows is near.

gropes around for a smaller hand that he knows is around (but can't remember why it would be right this moment) while mumbling absentmindedly under his breath in german, as if he's welcoming himself back home. ]

[ ears go red, looking away like he typically does. ]

[ shifts his face to the hair tucked behind nathan's ear, nuzzling softly. ]

Nein. Is birthday. Special day. Give real present.

[ shivers lightly at the contact, though doesn't seem to dislike it one bit. ends up just giving him one of his smiles again when he composes himself once more. ]

[ plants a kiss there & lifts his head away to nod excitedly. ]

[ bites his lip briefly, knowing his reflexes will give whatever he's feeling away in a heartbeat. literally. goes back to center to give his head a little nudge. ]

[ tilts his head a little in slight confusion at the shift in sounds. keeps that confusion to himself, however, for now running a hand through nathan's hair in soothing petting motions. ]

[ allows the petting for a while as he shifts himself back to his default as smoothly as possible. after a beat he slips a hand from underneath his resting spot to reach up slowly, taking caleb's hand away from his head to cup it in between his palms. presses that hand against his nose to hide his glee, eyes closing once more. ]

[ lets a slow smile spread across his lips. doesn't move his hand away, instead lifting his other one to trace at nathan's eyebrows in silence. ]

[ tilts his head to relax into him further, content with the silence and contact between them. without thinking he murmurs quietly: ]
