[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ leans his head against tony's shoulder. hesitates again, mulling over possible answers. then decides that it's safest to address the current situation: ]

Yeah. I am.

[ brushes his lips against anthony's forehead with a smile. murmurs lowly: ]

Then I am, too.

[ turns his face upward to give tony a long stare. then straightens a little to be able to press his lips against the bridge of tony's nose in response. ]

Stay that way.

[ blinks in surprise at the gesture, just staring at him in silence. slowly cups anthony's head so that he could gently move him to look downward instead, away from his face. places his chin on the crown of his friend's head, looking out into the crowd to lead himself away from temptation. ]

Ahh~ Why're you so cute?

[ goes along with the movement obediently, a faint blush coming to his cheeks when he hears the words. curls his fingers around a wrist while trying to look up at him cautiously. ]

. . . Tony?

[ leans on him a bit more to keep him from being able to look up, just giving a small grunt in reply. ]

[ makes a small 'oof' sound at the added weight, but stops trying to look up. doesn't break the silence, simply patting & petting tony's hand instead. ]

[ after a moment he decides it's just best to switch topics, knowing it's the safest route at this point. glances around at the stalls that he can see from their position. ]

Maybe I should wait until I hang out with the brats again to get their gifts. They demanded specific toys and food. I'd probably get killed if I got them the wrong stuff.

[ slowly tries again to lift his head up at the topic change, managing to finally peek up. ]

That, and they like to change their minds.

[ sighs and finally lets his head hang back. ]

Unfortunately.

[ reaches up half-way to give a pat to the cheek, but pauses, looking a bit uncertain. eventually rests the hand lightly against tony's face briefly before letting it drop. ]

You survived them twice already.

[ closes his eyes and sighs. peeks an eye open when he feels the pat and hears anthony's words. finally gives him a small grin. ]

Will survive 'em again for you.

[ gives him a nudge in reply. ]

Whatever keeps you safe and alive. And coming back. [ clears throat, looking a bit awkward again. ] To. . . me. Us.

[ raises an eyebrow, having caught that small "me" due to their proximity. leans in closer to his face, slowly smiling widely. ]

To you?

[ immediately breaks out into a blush as well as putting a palm flat against tony's face. ]

N-Nothing. Heard nothing.

[ oofs when the hand meets his face, but doesn't even bother to try and peek (or tease), just laughing at anthony instead. ]

[ continues to tense up until he realizes there's no teasing. begins to relax again, bringing up his other hand to cover his own face in mortification. ]

[ nuzzles his nose into anthony's palm, giving it a small kiss. ]

Will you have a welcoming party for me when I return?

[ jerks that hand away quickly, mouth opening to stutter something out when tony's expression stops him. glances down. ]

. . . Yeah. I'll-- cook. Something. Everything?

[ tilts his head a bit at anthony's attitude, briefly confused. dismisses it to instead reply. ]

Anything?

[ slowly looks up again. ]

Things I've made before?

Like what?

[ shrugs with a considering expression. ]

Name your price.

[ rolls his eyes skyward, giving a small hum. a grin spreads across his face as he meets anthony's eyes again and says, as lowly as possible: ]

How about... you?

[ jabs him in the forehead. ]

Anthony is not part of a balanced breakfast, lunch or dinner.
