[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ shakes his head & twists some noodles onto the fork. lifts it to offer that next. ]

[ grins at him a little. ]

Yes, my queen.

[ eats the next portion just as happily. ]

[ noms down the next meatball that he stabs, making a considering noise. ]

Now I can die happy.

[ comes back after a short chat, looking very pleased and cheerful. rattles around the little pink case with medicine in it as she trots back to her seat. wiggles in it comfortable before peering over at tony and anthony in silence. ]

[ eyes the case with a blink. doesn't speak for a moment, but eventually seems to catch on. ]

Need water?

[ pops open the case, shakes her head and then points at her half-full cup. ]

Apple juice.

[ finally turns his attention away from anthony and over to alyssa instead. ]

What's that?

[ holds up one of the pills with a wide smile. ]

[ smacks his hand away when he extends it. ]

[ pulls back and rubs his hand with a pathetic look on his face. ]

[ shoves the pill closer to his face for emphasis. ]

It's for me especially! [ brings it to her mouth, pops it in, then drinks down some apple juice. only speaks when she swallows: ] For my tummy.

[ rests his chin on a hand, making a considering noise. ]

Does this mean you need someone to rub your tummy before bedtime?

[ pauses in drinking more of her juice. places the cup down slowly, cheeks growing warm. ]

No... but Nathan usually rubs my back...

[ quirks an eyebrow for a split-second in genuine confusion. briefly gives a small glance at anthony with his gaze before he shifts it back to alyssa with a big smile on his face. points at himself gleefully. ]

I can do it tonight! Give me the job, ne? Me, me!

[ carefully avoids that glances while dislodging his hand from tony's, using that to jab his forehead. ]

Leaving me out. Feelings are hurt. So it's my turn.

[ moves slightly with the prod, but otherwise doesn't look fazed in the least, instead grabbing that hand so that he can lean in close to anthony's face. ]

But we're bonding.

[ twitches & pushes down the blush to a more manageable level. presses his forehead against tony's to nudge him back. ]

She's sleeping on your side. Lots of chances for bonding.

[ presses his forehead against anthony's in reply to the nudge, keeping that smile on his face. makes sure to murmur his next words, so that alyssa can't hear: ]

But you're the one who made us play rock-paper-scissors to see who had to sleep next to her. You made such a big fuss out of it and all. It should only be fair that I do it.

[ scrunches his nose & leans away. ]

[ blinks at him a few times. wordlessly turns back to alyssa. ]
