[ hits send on the text message to alyssa -- that he's coming to visit for a short while -- before he starts up his scooter & steers himself in the direction of nathan's apartment. his backpack is holding only one thing, but it's precious enough of a bundle that he wears the backpack against his stomach. ignores the looks he's getting both on & off the street, parking tinkerbell in her usual corner spot. it's been almost two weeks since he's saw her (two weeks to recover), which is why he'd armed himself with a present in apology.

stands in front of the door to the stairs for a moment, wondering if he's feeling up to the physical exertion today-- then just changes direction to walk in the direction of the elevator. glances up at the ceiling of it when he's on board & pressed the proper number, feeling a little nervous for no reasons he could consciously finger. decides to shrug it off the best he can when he shuffles off it, rummaging around his backpack to take out the wrapped present before something (someone?) in front of a door catches his eye.

... stops. blinks. ]

. . . ? [ belatedly realizes that the boy is front of the door he needs to reach, making him pause, blink & speak: ] . . . Hi.

[ uses both hands to tug at anthony's shirt again, this time with more enthusiasm than before, almost bouncing on his heels. struggles with his cellphone for a bit, like he can't do it fast enough. holds it up. ]

「 Okay, onii-san! 」

[ clears his throat, still a little embarrassed, but nonetheless encouraged by the response. pats at the end of the seat, where hiro'd been riding. ]

Okay. Uh, up you go.

[ obediently does as he's told, making sure that he's secure in his seat. pats the place anthony would be sitting in return. ]

[ hops into his seat, striking a small pose when he's done so. ]

To infinity.

[ mimics the pose. quickly pulls out his cellphone to type: ]

「 And beyond. 」

. . . ! [ quickly turns around to give his cheek a proud pat. ]

Good. Disney is good.

[ cheeks take on a red color at the praise. wraps his arms around anthony's middle to press his face (mostly the helmet, unfortunately) into him happily. ]

[ manages to turn on time when that hug comes so that he can return it as best he can with their positions. holds that pose until he feels his spine starting to complain, giving the back of hiro's head (the helmet) a few taps. ]

This is probably easier at my apartment.

[ looks up at him, nodding in understanding. removes himself to sit up straight and adjust his helmet again, giving him a thumbs up when he's ready. ]

[ another pat & then they're off -- beep beep. true to his previous word, they seem to be turning in & slowing down within ten minutes of traveling. another two & he's steering tinkerbell into the parking lot of his apartment, followed by a sluggish turn into her usual spot underneath a tree tucked against a corner close to the apartment's entrance. leans back a bit when his scooter grows quiet for the third time that day, carefully straightening himself to stretch.

then he gets off the scooter so that he can properly face his passenger as he reaches over to undo the helmet off hiro's head. speaks in his gps voice: ]

You have arrived at your destination.

[ shakes his hair out a little bit when the helmet is removed, peering up at the apartment complex curiously. slides off the scooter to look at it some more before he turns to anthony again, digging out his cellphone to type: ]

「 It's nice. 」

[ glances up at it, then reaches to take one of hiro's hands. ]

It's comfortable.

[ takes that hand with his free one, tugging on it a little. ]

「 I like comfortable. 」

[ tugs back, but with the purpose of leading them into the apartment building. ]

So do I. [ presses the 'up' button when they approach the elevator. ] I'm on the ninth floor.

[ shuffles his feet a little as he types: ]

「 I live in a house, but it's small. 」

[ makes a 'hmm' sound. ]

How many bedrooms?

「 Two. 」 [ pauses to think. ] 「 Japan has small houses. 」

[ blinks. ]

But it doesn't seem too bad. If it's only you and your parents.

[ shakes his head a bit. ]

「 I like it. It's usually just me and mom. 」

[ tugs them into the elevator when it arrives, tilting his head toward hiro in curiosity. then finally decides it's an innocent enough a question to ask. ]

Usually? What about your dad?

「 Away on business. 」

[ nods in understanding. ]

Mine too.

[ peers up at him curiously. ]

「 How long? 」

[ shrugs. ]

He's away a lot, so I never remember.

[ nods. ]

「 Me too. 」
