[ stretches when p.e. class is finally over, feeling a little bit like jelly, a little bit like a boulder & a little bit of weakling. shakes his arms a bit to free himself of that feeling, rubbing the back of his neck as he silently tells himself that though the class would only grow to be more strenuous as the semester goes on (especially during the stress-high weeks of exam prep), he'd still enjoy it, not regret it. etcetra. but at the moment, he stinks, even to himself. after spending a rude amount of time at the water fountain (drinking his fill, ignoring his surroundings as usual), he changes directions toward the lockers, intent on taking a quick shower, changing out of his gym clothes & perhaps heading home early for the day. ]

[ shifts a bit, feeling gross enough to finally start his trek toward the showers again. ]

I was going to go hibernate.

[ keeps speaking as if nothing is amiss in the universe. ]

"Was going to". Past tense. We're going out.

[ shakes his head, but just seems to give up at that point, far too used to being overridden to really care. ]

'Kay. Fifteen minutes.

[ looks down at his watch, clicking it over to the stopwatch option. nods and sets it. ]

Fifteen, then.

[ after grabbing & setting aside a fresh pile of clothes from his locker, he proceeds to strip inside the shower stall. shoves the old clothes out, not too worried on them getting wet (they needed to be washed anyway) & lazily begins to shower, dazing a little. stands under the hot water for about five minutes, not really doing anything, before finally reaching for the soap & shampoo to get started.

it's actually twenty minutes later when he finishes, a towel wrapped around his waist as he begins to dry his hair with the same, sluggish motions. ]

[ while he simply sits there staring at his watch, up until anthony comes out of the shower. looks up at him blankly. ]

You're five minutes late.

[ yawns. ]

My brain was unavailable for five minutes.

...

[ gets up and rolls one of the balls on the ground closer to him, kicking it up into his hands. turns back to anthony... then chucks it at his head. ]

HR-- [ doesn't even get to finish the exclamation when the ball hits him squarely on the back of the head, sending him hobbling forward a little. turns around, a hand pressed against where he'd been struck, looking confused. ]

. . . ?!

[ & he'll just move closer to anthony, getting right up in his face as he jabs a finger to his chest in emphasis to his words. ]

YOU WILL NOT, I REPEAT, NOT BE LATE AT ANY TIME WHEN YOU'RE ON MY WATCH. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?

[ doesn't move or speak, just... this face. ]

[ holds that pose for a little while longer before he goes back to neutral, backing up to sit down on the bench again. crosses his arms over his chest. ]

I'll take that as a yes.

[ STILL THIS FACE ]

[ finally recovers. goes for his shirt to tug it on. ]

I do not believe in past lives.

But it's too easy to blame it on genetics.

[ looks down as he thinks, letting his comment fly right over his head. ]

The place I want to take you to is not far from here. Their smoothies are very good.

[ finishes dressing & ruffles out more water from his hair. then glances at michael at the words, interest caught. ]

[ stands, assuming that anthony will be ready any second now. ]
