[ continues her trek towards one of the less crowded areas of the school, holding two bags full of (homemade) food close to her chest. when she spots her company for the afternoon she shifts the excess weight to free her hands; comes up behind anthony, reaching up to put her palms over his eyes as she happily exclaims: ]

I'm taken, so I don't think about it.

[ tries to wiggle a little closer to him. ]

But you weren't always taken. You've thought about it before, right?

[ moves his hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. ]

Not really. Puberty hasn't hit me yet.

[ shuffles on back with a smoothie and a glass of water in her hands, giving them both a cheerful: ]

[ pauses when she notices their position, briefly wondering why she seems to come at the most inopportune times. just sets anthony's smoothie down in front of him while alyssa sits up, giving her a curious look. ]

Oh my. [ places the water down in front of her. ] Are you his girlfriend?

[ fidgets a little, giving a tiny shake of her head while picking up the water to take a sip out of the straw. ]

N-No... just a friend.

[ peeks over at anthony curiously, but doesn't ask anything more on the topic as she has something else on her mind. ]

How was school today? Good?

[ takes a moment in responding, looking a bit puzzled at alyssa's words. but pulls his hand back & lets that go for now to take a sip of the smoothie instead, then nodding in belated answer to anne's question. ]

Same as always. [ pauses to take another sip before adding on the following as if it should explain everything: ] It's a Thursday.

Oh, you're right! That means-- [ runs off to the counter for a second, coming back a moment later with a small dish in front of him. ] Gummy worms!

[ nods excitedly & immediately reaches into the dish for a worm. ]

I love Thursdays. [ munches happily. ] Thanks, Anne.

[ flushes happily over his excitement, giving a few enthusiastic nods. ]

My pleasure! [ turns to alyssa. ] We should start a Thursday treat for you too! What do you like? Jelly beans? Gummy bears? Lollipops?

[ glances up at anne quickly before staring down at her water again. stirs the straw a little. ]

Um... I'm not sure...

[ adjusts the apron around her waist a little, turning her attention to anthony again. ] Would you like anything else?

[ glances once at alyssa, then shakes his head at anne. ]

We haven't really decided yet. Give us a few?

[ gives alyssa one more passing smile before walking off towards another table. ]

[ blinks and turns her attention to him when she feels the touch. ]
