[ double-checks that everything in the house is straightened and in its proper place, despite having cleaned everything earlier that morning. a few peeks up the stairs towards her brother's room is the only other movement she makes besides nudging things here and there, taking a seat on the edge of a chair when she realizes that it probably won't be very long now. is quite aware (was made aware) that her brother had tricked anthony into thinking they were going to meet at twelve instead of twelve-thirty, but still can't help but glance outside the front window every few minutes to make sure that she would be there when he arrived. ]

[ after a handful of hours roaming around the mall and buying the necessary things he had come for (the new laptop was a coincidence, he needed one anyway) the invitation of staying at his home for the remainder of time they had left before their final outing was brought up, and with his goalie's approval they made their way to his house.

takes out his keys and opens the door when they arrive, bending down to take off his shoes and set them to the side. doesn't bother placing his bags down for now, instead doing the first thing he typically does when he knows his younger sister had been home alone: ]

Anne? [ a pause. sets his bags down, turning to anthony when there is no reply. ] I will return shortly.

[ & then he turns to begin making his way up the stairs in silence. ]

[ just nods absently, still stuck on the topic of he bought a laptop. eyes the inside of the house with vague interest before finally wiggling out of his shoes. wanders the first floor for a few minutes, looking for the bathroom. upon finding it & quickly taking care of his business, he stands in the hallway, thinking. (or not.)

a long moment later, he scrubs at his eyes tiredly & goes to lounge on the couch in the living room until one of the siblings comes back down. ]

[ it's about five or so minutes until there is once again movement upstairs, the girl slowly padding down the stairs as she rubs her eyes, sleep still heavy on her lids. upon spotting their guest she perks up, carefully making her way down the last few steps to come around towards the living room. peeks in, a small smile on her lips. ]

Welcome back, Anthony.

[ jerks out of his half-dazed state upon hearing her voice, sitting up from where he'd been almost sprawled on the couch. ]

Hi. Thanks. [ looks at the stairs. ] He bought a laptop.

[ blinks at his words, glancing at the stairs briefly before looking back at anthony, curious. ]

[ smiles again, shaking her head a little. ]

Ah, that's right! Would you like something to eat? Big brother is hungry, so I will make something for you as well!

I'm not sure just yet... I'll have to look in the fridge to see what we have.

Of course you can. [ turns towards the kitchen, gesturing a little. ] Do you cook at home?

[ gets to his feet & wanders into the kitchen after her. ]

Yeah. I'm the only certified cook in that household.

[ nods a little, padding to the fridge to open it as she speaks. ]

My mother and father cook sometimes, but I'm usually the one that does it.

[ while he looks around for pots & pans. peers at her curiously after finding the frying pan. ]

[ smiles brightly at him, nodding. ]

[ can't help but return the smile, nodding. ]

That's good. What do you like making best?

Anything! [ pauses, thinking. ] Oh, but big brother likes plain food, so I like working around that. Do you have any preferences, Anthony?

[ rummages in the fridge after his words, moving to the freezer to take out three small packets before turning to him again. ]

Is chicken alright, then?

[ curses the universe silently. ]

Yeah. Delicious chicken.

[ tilts her head a little in confusion, but does not question it. closes the doors to set the chicken aside, walking to the cabinets to take out two small boxes. holds them up to anthony. ]

Rice or pasta?

[ staring down at the chicken apologetically. ]

Let's be European and say pasta.

[ once again looks at him questioningly, merely smiling as she shuts the cabinet door. ]
