[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ glances down at the stuffed animals. ]

Hmm. You've got a long road ahead of you. I hope motherhood is good to you, chocobo.

I'll raise it to be the very best.

[ sighs and pats his head again. ]

You and your Pokemon obsession.

[ pauses & looks up at him with semi-wide eyes, his voice full of wonderment. ]

. . . You got the reference.

Who wouldn't? I'd be worried if someone didn't know what you were talking about.

[ reaches out to give him a pat to the shoulder. ]

Recognizing and knowing. Different things.

Same thing to me.

You'll understand someday.

[ tugs at his hair once in retaliation before releasing the hold on anthony's head, wandering on over to one of the seating areas. thankfully finds an empty seat, though at current there's only one open.

after a moment of consideration he sits and pats his lap. gives a happy look up at anthony in silence. ]

[ rubs at his scalp at the treatment, then follows along. only to stop when he realizes tony's intentions. ]

. . . Iyaa Tony, so scandalous.

Only to those who think it is. [ pat pat. ] C'mon, I'm a pretty comfy seat.

[ hesitates but takes a few steps forward anyway. pauses again before he carefully settles down lightly on a knee. ]

Bony.

[ doesn't hesitate in wrapping his arms around anthony's waist, pulling the smaller boy up against him. gives him a pathetic look. ]

Aw... you're hurting my feelings, here.

[ grunts, but otherwise doesn't respond, pointedly does not look up at his face (or the crowd, for that matter) as he wiggles around for comfort. ]

[ relaxes back against his seat and does his own act of shifting, though less animated than anthony. presses his nose into his hair, waits a beat, and then: ]

Are you happy?

[ feels himself tense a bit at the question, shifting a bit in uncertainty. then forces himself to relax again, resting a hand lightly on one of tony's arms. ]

. . . Are you?

[ shakes his head, though not as a reply. ]

You first.

[ leans his head against tony's shoulder. hesitates again, mulling over possible answers. then decides that it's safest to address the current situation: ]

Yeah. I am.

[ brushes his lips against anthony's forehead with a smile. murmurs lowly: ]

Then I am, too.

[ turns his face upward to give tony a long stare. then straightens a little to be able to press his lips against the bridge of tony's nose in response. ]

Stay that way.

[ blinks in surprise at the gesture, just staring at him in silence. slowly cups anthony's head so that he could gently move him to look downward instead, away from his face. places his chin on the crown of his friend's head, looking out into the crowd to lead himself away from temptation. ]

Ahh~ Why're you so cute?

[ goes along with the movement obediently, a faint blush coming to his cheeks when he hears the words. curls his fingers around a wrist while trying to look up at him cautiously. ]

. . . Tony?

[ leans on him a bit more to keep him from being able to look up, just giving a small grunt in reply. ]

[ makes a small 'oof' sound at the added weight, but stops trying to look up. doesn't break the silence, simply patting & petting tony's hand instead. ]

[ after a moment he decides it's just best to switch topics, knowing it's the safest route at this point. glances around at the stalls that he can see from their position. ]

Maybe I should wait until I hang out with the brats again to get their gifts. They demanded specific toys and food. I'd probably get killed if I got them the wrong stuff.
