[ only thinks to glance back when he feels the chill down his spine lessen, a moment of guilt fleeting across his expression. then turns back around with a considering look that ends in a shrug -- he had just mentioned survival as a priority, after all. starts up his pace again, this time a little more leisurely before he stops yet again.

... & buries his face into his hands for a moment, realizing that he doesn't know where exactly alyssa is. turns his head upward toward the sky in a long-suffering manner before deciding that he could at least wait for them at the eating area. shoves his hands into his pockets & keeps moving, letting out a relieved breath when he escapes the clutches of the crowd. then stops for the third time in the last ten minutes, blinking when he feels like he's seeing someone very familiar-- ]

. . . Lyssa?

[ shifts a bit on her resting spot up against the wall of the stand of her chosen food choice for the day, fumbling with the number she was given for the orders she had placed a little while ago. the only thing that could possibly pry her away from her non-thoughts is the sound of a familiar voice, face brightening considerably when her gaze comes upon her friend's face. ]

Anthony!

[ wanders on over, looking relieved. ]

Hi.

[ looks down at his arms when he approaches, beaming down at the stuffed animals. ]

Ooo those are cute! Did you win them all?

[ doesn't answer until he's tucked up against the wall next to her, bumping her shoulder with his. ]

Yeah. Except the crow.

[ lifts a finger to pet the crow's head. ]

Tony?

[ nods & perks up a bit, face taking on an excited flush. ]

Look. [ holds it up to her eye-level & squeezes-- CAW. ]

[ jumps a little in surprise. ]

Oh!

[ lifts her hands to take it, giving it another squeeze to hear the CAW once more. giggles happily. ]

Awwww it's so cute!

[ cracks a smile in response, giving her another nod. ]

Yeah. I like it.

It looks like Tony. [ attempts to balance it on top of anthony's head. ] Did you name it "Tony"?

[ stays as still as possible, eyes glancing to the left, then to the right in thought. ]

No. I named it "Crow".

[ concentrates on her task, merely nodding once she gets it to stay put. steps back a pace. ]

There. Perfect!

Caw.

[ fumbles for her cellphone and lifts it, steps back one more time, then takes a photo. beams and looks down at it, just to make sure it came out right. ]

[ expression loosens when he sees her smile, making the crow plush wobble a bit on his head. ]

Break time?

[ gently takes the crow plush off of anthony's head before shaking her own. ]

No, it's hug time~!

[ closes the distance between them to wrap her arms around him. ]

[ returns the hug with one arm, as the other is holding onto the rest of the plushies. smiles again & presses his nose into her shoulder contently. ]

[ buries her face into him and holds on tightly, though sounds completely content when she speaks softly. ]

I love you.

[ rubs her back in a comforting manner. ]

Love you too.

[ rests there for a while longer, snuggling into him even more. after a minute or two she shifts to peek at him. ]

Did you have fun with Tony?

[ tugs them closer toward the wall, his arm still wrapped around her. ]

Yeah. [ gives her a small nudge. ] What about you?

[ goes along with the motion, resting against him lightly. ]

Oh yes, we had lots of fun! I'm very glad that I took them with me.

But they didn't seem worn out.

Of course not, silly! They have lots and lots of energy.
