[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ starts to move the chair back to its rightful place before returning. looks down at alyssa, putting his hands on her shoulders to keep her from scurrying around too much. ]

Do you still make stuff for him when he's around?

[ nods, dividing the noodles into three portions. peers down at the sauce, quickly tasting it before dividing that as well. picks up two bowls, handing them over to his friends. ]

[ lets go of alyssa when she perks up and takes her bowl silently, reaching over to do the same. ]

[ scrunches his nose in response. then retrieves the utensils while making shoo motions toward the table. ]

[ when alyssa moves away first he sidles up beside anthony, leaning in to murmur into his ear: ]

What kind of benefits would you like, hm?

[ tries to twitch away, ducking his head between his shoulders. ]

[ chuckles and presses a kiss on the top of his head. ]

[ straightens and pauses when he sees alyssa already sitting and cramming the spaghetti into her mouth. begins to laugh, moving closer to put his bowl down and pick up a napkin from one of the napkin holders at the table. leans over to wipe alyssa's mouth off. ]

What are you doing? Silly girl.

[ blinks up at him. smiles widely and laughs happily in reply before going back to her food. ]

[ expression goes soft at that, only turning back to anthony when he remembers something. ]

Oh, right. Drinks. [ shifts a bit in place, turning towards the kitchen again. ] I'll get them. What do you want?

[ sets his bowl down & sits, stirring at his spaghetti with his fork. ]

Water's good. [ gives alyssa an inquiring glance. ] Apple juice, orange juice, cranberry?

[ grins and winks at her. ]

You got it.

[ wanders off to the fridge to get said drinks. ]

[ chews on the noodles a bit, swallows. stirs again. ]

Lyssa. Verdict?

[ noms some more, looking up once again with a noodle hanging out of her mouth. ]

[ stares, seemingly distracted by the noodle. then snaps out of it, turning back to his own food. ]

[ uses the previously used napkin to wipe off her face after she slurps up the noodle. smiles sweetly at him. ]

[ comes back with their drinks, peering at anthony as he sets the glasses on the table. ]

[ blinks when she hears the faint tune of her cellphone coming from anthony's bedroom. beams and gets up, scurrying off to go answer it without another word. ]

... [ looks after her for a long moment, then back at anthony. sighs and reaches over to hold his hand, scooting a bit closer to him. ] Looks like the parents are left all alone again.

[ snaps out of where he'd also followed her leave with his eyes as well, turning back to tony. curls his fingers around his friend's. ]
