[ instead of going home as he had originally planned, the intended ten minutes in the library had turned into a couple of hours. blearily rubs an eye when he finally wakes to check the time on his cellphone. yawns (rather unattractively) before gingerly sliding away from his designated spot in the library. tilts his head left & right for a moment as if to clear his head of the post-nap haze & disorientation. then he's off, making his way through the campus in search of one thing: a campus map.

it takes another long moment wandering the school after arming himself with the correct information. but it isn't until the last half of alyssa's class that he finally finds the classroom. stares at the wooden doors for a moment, then shrugs off any hesitation or embarrassment -- after all, the most that could happen is him getting kicked out. pushing the door open, he pokes his head inside, scanning the open area for only one person: his honey. ]

[ those hours that anthony had been getting his rest were spent working on several pieces of pottery on alyssa's side. her hands, cheeks, apron and clothes are a mess, hair tied back into a loose bun to keep the strands away from her current project, using the electric potter's wheel to mold the wet clay into a shape that's to her tastes. it is only when she hears a few giggles that she looks up and away from her work, eyes following the line of sight that the females sitting in front of her are focusing in on.

smiles widely when she sees anthony's face there, quickly stopping the wheel and wiping her hands down to stand up and wander on over to him. ]

Darling! What are you doing here?

[ blinks at her attire, lips twitching briefly. then looks around a bit more for the professor, then steps inside the classroom entirely. ]

Visiting my honey. Have you seen her?

[ laughs happily at that, gently pushing his face away with a (thankfully semi-clean) hand. ]

I'm right here, silly!

[ 'oofs' when he's pushed, but bounces back right afterward, the smile finally coming to his face. ]

Then can I stay?

Of course you can. [ takes his hand, giving it a small tug. ] I'm almost done with my last project. Do you want to try?

[ shuffles along, peering at her project when they get to her station. ]

No. Mud and I have a long and ancient feud.

[ pulls an extra stool on over, patting it after she takes a seat on her own. ]

Are you sure? You might be really good at it.

[ settles down & shakes his head. ]

I'm better as a watcher pigeon.

[ giggles at that. ]

Watcher pigeon...

[ & then she starts the wheel again to go back to work. ]

[ leans back a bit as he watches, humming lowly. ]

Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo. I'm streetwise. . . I can improvise. . .

[ lets out a small shh at that despite everyone around them talking, working the clay between her hands. ]

What did you do while I slaved away in here?

I slept in the library.

That sounds very productive.

They almost took away my encyclopedia.

[ thinks about lifting a hand to pat his hair, realizing at the last moment that she probably shouldn't. just gives him a pout. ]

My poor baby~

[ leans forward to rub his nose against her shoulder. ]

How will I sleep now, honey.

[ leans over a bit herself, pushing her face into his hair to murmur: ]

Easily. You're right here with me, aren't you? Sleep on my shoulder so I can hear you go puff, wooo.

[ face heats up, making him press it further against her. ]

But I want to turn off the sound effects.

Nooooo don't ever do that, it's so cute!

Unmanly.

[ plants a kiss to the top of his head, turning her attention back to her work. ]

You're always manly to me, darling.

[ shifts & mumbles something, pleased. then turns his gaze toward her project again curiously. ]

Do you paint it too?

[ hums a little in thought, head tilted to the side as she observes her work. ]

Sometimes, but I like it without paint. It looks more natural that way, don't you think?

Maybe. . . But people paint stories on pots.
