[ after albert and brianna declared their plans to go out on a date for the rest of the evening, she took it upon herself to personally watch lyssa until they returned home, despite her former plans with her boyfriend. it's with that change (and realization of what she did at the very last moment) that she calls up caleb to tell him the news, sounding disappointed until she ~~gleefully~~ casually suggested that he come over to help. after some convincing that yes, albert won't be here and yes, she'll wait for him by the door, is done and over with, she happily skips down the stairs after telling lyssa's personal ~~ninja~~ butler that she'll be back shortly.

plops down on the second to last step of the stairs while happily swaying and humming to herself, her eyes planted on the doorway to wait for caleb to enter. ]

< It is, but... > [ makes a face, thinking about it. and then shrinks a little bit, speaking slowly: ]

[ blinks & seems to do one of his mental shrugs, leaning close to her again. ]

< Okay. Then I will think about it later because we will stay together for that long time! >

[ nods, deciding it's best to leave it at that. snuggles into him. ]

[ tips forward to kiss at an eyelid. ]

< We will! Because we love each other! People who love each other try to stay together as long as possible. >

[ smiles widely at that, clinging onto him tighter as she rubs her face into his chest. peeks up at him slowly. ]

 [ pauses, straightening a little. ] < What do you want? For the future, I mean. >

[ the answer is immediate: ]

< To stay with Hilda, team, and Nathan-ee-ah forever! And to save lots and lots of people, and to be useful to SAVE! >

[ stares. eyes sparkle a little, looking at him in both admiration and something akin to guilt. ]

< You're so selfless that it hurts sometimes. >

[ hones in on the guilt immediately, staring at her worriedly. gives her a reassuring squeeze & a kiss to the cheek. ]

< But it shouldn't hurt, Nathan-ee-ah. I'm being honest! I always tell Nathan-ee-ah the truth. I promise. >

[ shakes her head, shifting a bit to lift her hands and put them on his cheeks. ]

< No, I meant that it's sweet. You're such a good person. >

[ tilts himself into the touch, enjoying the sound of her heartbeat trailing toward his ears via her fingers. ]

< . . . I want to become even better for Nathan-ee-ah. >

[ brings his head down to press their foreheads together. ]

< You're already the best, Caleb. Too good for me, even. But you still chose me anyway, and that makes me happy. >

[ rests against her a little. ]

< Thank you. Nathan-ee-ah is very kind. >

[ strokes his face a little. ]

 [ moves to tuck her head underneath his chin, hugging him again. ] < You're my miracle-puppy. >

[ turns his face to brush his lips against her fingers as she does that. ]

< Like superman?! I like superman! Nathan-ee-ah's superman! > [ pauses. corrects: ] < Superdog! >

[ blinks, looking up at him again. silence... then begins to laugh. ]

< Y-Yeah, superdog! >

< Yes! The best dog in all of SAVE! >

[ beams at him, lifting up to kiss his nose. slowly pulls away even more to look at him properly, tilting her head a bit. ]

< Are you sleepy yet, superdog? >

[ curls his arms around her a little more & tilts forward as if to follow her line of moment before pausing to process the question. ]

< A little bit. . . what about Nathan-ee-ah? >

[ hums, pretending to think about it. ]

< Getting there, I think. > [ puts on her cute look. ] < More milk first, though? > Bitte?

[ beams & reaches for her glass. gently extracting himself from her grip, he gets to his feet. ]

< Of course! One moment! > [ & he's off, rushing in & out of the kitchen area again to fetch nathania her drink. he's back in less than two minutes this time (without running into anything either) & handing over the glass again. ] < Is this good? >

[ takes it into both of her hands when it's offered, beaming up at him. ]

< Yes, thank you! > [ takes a drink of it before looking down at the glass in thought. long pause, and then: ]

[ settles back down into his seat. ]

< Nathan-ee-ah is fine the way she is! > [ short pause, wondering if that's the right answer. decides to add the next bit for 'just in case': ] < Erm. . . but if Nathan-ee-ah really wants to, maybe it'll come true! Drink lots of milk and look up tips on the internet. . .? >

[ sips at her milk some more. lifts her legs to curl them to her chest, wiggling her toes on the edge of the couch. ]

[ blinks confusedly. ]

< But Nathan-ee-ah looks good to me! Like a normal, pretty person. I was built wrong, and I look okay! >

[ brightens at that, setting her glass aside to tug caleb's face down. ]

< You, mister superdog-- > [ smooches his nose. ] < --are the best-looking guy I've ever seen. >
