[ tucked against the corner of the couch, head lolling a bit as he dazes, an arm loosely wrapped around nathan's waist. the touch is as unintrusive as it gets -- relaxed and open so that nathan can get away anytime he wishes. twitches once in a while in his daze, however, still relatively aware as people appears & disappears in the map in his head. ]

[ hand lingers there for a moment before smoothing down some of caleb's messy hair, letting it fall to his side again. ]

I'll be fine. Really.

[ scrunches his nose initially at the flick, going a little cross-eyed. blinks when the nicer touches follow after that, also looking back & forth between hilda & nathan. ends up nodding slowly in the end, however. ]

. . . if Nathan say okay.

[ pauses in putting his laptop in his bag to look back up at caleb. ]

... augh, c'mon, don't give me that look. Aren't you supposed to be happy?

[ jumps a bit, looking like he just got caught red-handed. ]

[ strokes his chin, leaning in a bit to inspect him. ]

[ then tilts his head a bit & grins, taking a step forward to wrap his arms around nathan in one of his open, customary hugs. ]

[ still feels unused to these straight-forward hugs, which is why he lifts his arms and sort-of hugs with one, awkwardly patting caleb's back with his free hand. ]

[ doesn't seem to mind, instead hanging on for a little while longer while patiently waiting for a reaction of any sort. ]

[ stands there awkwardly for a few more moments, relaxing fraction by fraction. leans in a bit more and finally hugs him, albeit lightly. pushes his face into caleb's shoulder, smiling privately to himself. ]

[ --then he realizes what he's doing and pulls back quickly, looking flustered. ]

A-ANYWAY. I should... go! Yeah!

[ nods and makes his way out the door, turning slightly to wave at him a little before shutting the door behind himself. ]

[ when he's far enough away (enough that caleb could not see nor hear him any longer) he rolls his eyes up to the sky, heaving a long, drawn-out sigh. ]

This sucks.

[ & then he shoves his hands into his pockets, kicking a rock as he makes his way towards home. ]

[ had been watching them silently the whole time, casually munching on one of the snacks, as if she's watching a movie of some sort. eventually speaks up once nathan was out of sight: ]

< ... huh. He really seems to like you. >

[ doesn't answer until he properly sees nathan out of his range & then shakes his head a bit to re-focus on the world right before him. ]

< I like him too! He's really nice, right? Do you like him? >

[ looks like she's thinking about it, head tilted to the side. ]

< He's shy, but cute. I approve! >

[ gives him the thumbs-up. ]

[ brightens & returns the thumbs-up with little thought. ]

[ laughs at that, but does not elaborate, simply patting the empty spot next to her on the couch. ]

< So, tell me more about your new team! Tell me about your time here! I'm dying to know. >

[ bounds over immediately, sitting as close as possible without squishing her against the couch. ]

< Okay! Um. . . Nathan is the best machine-person on the team. He's always right, so I make sure I listen to him. I trust him a lot! He keeps me safe. >

< Mister Aaron is kind of like the leader in this team! He's not the complete leader, but he's still leader. He's really nice, though. He sometimes teaches me English, but Nathan doesn't like that a lot. >

< Miss Hana is really good at cooking, and she's a little quiet, but I like helping her in the kitchen. All I do is cut vegetables though. Nathan teaches her English too, but her English is much better than mine. I think she'd have to get five sticker books. >

[ pauses a bit to catch his breath. gathers the rest of his thoughts before he continues, voice going a little softer. ]

< Miss Hana has a really useful strength. She can find people. Anyone. >

when he finishes her expression doesn't change, simply wearing a small smile on her face as she allows some silence to fill the room. ]
