[ ignores the strange looks from the passing drivers as he travels leisurely on his scooter. the sound of the characteristic putt putt putt noise of his transportation fills the driveway when he arrives in front of the mansion. it takes him another minute (or two) to properly park & put the machine to rest.

straightens & leans back in the seat a little as he takes out his phone to quickly type a text message: let me be your guest, mademoiselle & looks up toward a window to wait. ]

[ only needs to glance at her once & he is already lifting a hand to rest it comfortingly on her lower arm in worry. ]

[ shuffles her feet a little, suddenly looking uncomfortable. opens her mouth, closes it, then smiles a tiny bit to herself. looks up at him, smile widening as she shakes her head. ]

No, nevermind. [ gives him a quick kiss to his cheek, letting go of his hand while trotting away. turns to him and winks. ] I'll be right back!

[ blinks & stares after her in confusion. turns away when she goes into the washroom, still blinking, staring blankly at anyone who bothers to glance in his direction. ]

[ comes out after ten minutes with a pout on her face. ]

[ snaps out of his half-daze when he hears her, blearily staring at her with continuing curiosity. ]

Glad to have you back, honey.

[ beams up at him, letting her head fall on anthony's shoulder. ]

[ rests his head on hers, a smile touching his lips as the forced tension in his body finally releases him. seeks out her hand next, giving it another squeeze when he finds it. ]

[ feels her face go warm in happiness, simply allowing them to stand like that for a moment longer in silence. when her eyes catch sight of tony talking to a girl in the distance she frowns slightly, glancing at anthony in the corner of her eye. looks straight ahead again, giving him a tiny nudge. ]

[ lifts his head to follow her line of sight to tony. tenses again for a brief second, but shakes it off soon enough. ]

[ looks him up and down... then shrugs a bit and lets her gaze go back to tony. ]

[ is all too glad to look away from tony's scene down at her. ]

[ eyes drop to the floor, looking distinctly sullen. ]

He's different.

[ draws her a little closer but does not refute her claim. gives her slow back rubs & can't help letting his own decline in mood seep through. ]

[ blinks up at him curiously as she rests against him. ]

Not directly. He's gotten used to a different set of rules.

[ thinks about it for a while, nodding in silence when she feels like she understands. ]

[ slowly looks up at him again. smiles at his words, a look of appreciation following close behind. ]
