[ it was with some strange stroke of luck that nathan had confirmed the non-presence of albert, brianna, and damon in the mansion for the weekend, almost suspiciously double-checking with them all to make sure; albert was off to god knows where, brianna flew out to hawaii for a photo shoot, and damon was spending some quality time with his friends before the summer officially came to a close.

nathan didn't think it would be this simple. lo and behold, the mansion was completely his for the taking for at least two and a half days. this prompted the almost juvenile-like excitement that overcame him when he invited caleb over for a real two-night stay inside the mansion, to show him where he lived (where he didn't like to live) and let him explore what he normally did not allow people to see. so this is why he tugged at caleb's hand enthusiastically, his body betraying the way he tried to school his expression, knowing somewhere in the back of his mind that in the end it was quite a futile attempt.

stops when they're far enough inside the mansion, not bothering to let caleb's hand go as he turns slightly to look at him. ]

Well, here we are. [ a pause, as if his excitement was slowly wearing off. ] Again.

[ doesn't know what to say to that after a moment of thought, letting his head fall onto caleb's shoulder instead. ]

[ doesn't speak for a moment, too busy shifting to press his forehead into the crook between caleb's neck and shoulder. ]

[ nuzzles him a little more & shakes his head slowly. ]

Nein. I like Nathan as Nathan is. No change for me.

[ thinks about it, feeling the need to say something else. pushes it back to instead give caleb's head a little nudge in reply, wiggling up into a seated position. puts his hands on his hips as he looks down at him. ]

Anyway, if you want to pay for that pizza, we'd better go downstairs and wait for the delivery guy.

Ehh. . . not tired. But not want to move, because is nice here.

[ opens his mouth to instantly reply, cheeks going warm when he realizes what he wants to say. looks away as he sputters out: ]

I-It doesn't matter as long as we're together, right? So... so the location shouldn't matter... o-or something-!

[ scampers to his feet & holds out a hand for him. ] Nathan is always right.

[ tugs him along gently, strolling out of nathan's room at a leisurely pace. ]

Big exit is good? Or pizza come in small exit?

[ stops to think a little bit. only starts to move again when a conclusion comes to him. ]

. . . Is okay. I see pizza come.

[ looks surprised for a split second... then goes back to neutral when he remembers who he's next to. ]
