[ of course, as it turns out, the one thing that she's forgotten to mention to lyssa was the fact that she didn't really have a convenient method of transportation. all she'd asked for the location & time, thinking that would have been enough. of course it hadn't been.

... oh well.

hooking her small messenger bag-slash-purse on her shoulder, she bids her dad goodbye after reassuring him that she'll be back by ten (yes, yes, don't worry, just the mall--). & promptly feels glad that she left two hours before the time she's supposed to meet lyssa 'cause she just missed the bus & the next one won't be arriving for another half-hour. she settles down, pews & waits. long story short (after she subtracts the bus ride & all the weird things her hair is doing in the humidity), she manages to get to the mall in once piece: none of her organs are missing, her dress isn't ripped up, & no one had shoved her head down a toilet. day's pretty good so far (where's wood to knock on when she needed some?). 'cept the fact that she's probably a few minutes late, but--

... oh well.

she'll apologize to lyssa as soon as she can find him. ]

Okay, then, I'll come over tomorrow!

[ gives him a light whap to the temple. ]

I'll be busy. Soonest is day after.

[ lower lip juts out at the whap, butting his head against him again in retaliation. ]

But I'll be lonely.

[ whaps again. ]

Family, cat, and muse. Make use of one of them.

[ laughs at the whap this time, wiggling onto his back while holding onto nick's hand. keeps it in place, though this time he has the palm resting on his forehead and eyes. ]

Yes, sir. If that's what you wish, sir. Anything for you, sir.

[ huffs out the first hints of real laughter of the evening. curls his fingers as best on lyssa's forehead without digging his nails into the skin. ]

Good boy.

[ noses at the hand briefly, relaxing back into the bed again. ]

Are you into the master/servant thing, then?

[ is guessing at his kinks the thing for the night? raises a brow. ]

What's with the curiosity?

[ turns his head slightly so he can look up at him properly, smile widening. ]

Because I want to try everything you might be interested in before I expire! It would be fun, wouldn't it?

Trying to discover your own kinks then?

I only have one.

Confident. You sure you don't have any others?

[ considers him for a moment in silence. comes closer to his side again, sliding up against him so he can nuzzle his neck like a cat. murmurs: ]

If I try it and then I like it... [ pauses to kiss a patch of skin. ] ... then maybe, yes.

[ lets out a sigh & tips his head back a little despite his eyes still trained on the sketchbook (not for long, maybe), hand sliding down from lyssa's head to his waist. ]

That's a better attitude. [ rubs a small patch of skin with his index finger in consideration. ] You have a list you want to try?

[ he's quick to push aside the sketchbook and pencil, replacing that with himself instead; throws a leg over to properly straddle nick's hips, taking a seat in his lap (or pushing down his legs enough to have a lap to sit in, whichever). all the while he's smiling that smile of his, though instead of making any more moves he simply raises his arms to loosely rest them on the crook of nick's shoulders. after he's comfy: ]

No, but we could make one together.

[ raises an eyebrow at the antics while giving the sketchbook a lasting glance. but settles both his hands on lyssa's hips anyway, not doing other than leaning back & getting comfortable for now. ]

How domestic. I'll have to pass.

[ uses a few of his fingers to play with nick's hair. ]

Then you make a list and then I'll make a list. We'll compare and contrast and have a nice conversation about it.

[ okay, then he'll keep rubbing little circles into lyssa's hip. ]

Not a fan of spontaneity?

[ wiggles a little bit, feeling ticklish. ]

Aren't I always spontaneous in some way?

[ eyebrow goes up a little higher. okay, he'll apply more pressure then. ]

Hm. Not as much as to merit 'always'.

[ leans forward to nose at nick's own before he briefly grazes his lips against the other's mouth. ]

Is that a bad thing?

[ leans in to bite lightly at lyssa's lower lip, worrying at it briefly before pulling away just enough to talk against his mouth. ]

I think I'd rather have you guessing.

If that's what you wish, sir.

[ --is all that he's going to say for now, throwing away the idea of going into a discussion again by pressing himself against nick, firmly locking lips with him. ]

[ work had been long for her, but after picking up her daughter from kindergarten and going out to eat at their favorite diner, they were close enough to nick's place to swing by and say hello. at least that's what alice wanted, tugging and saying that she "drewded uncle a buttahfly" (the typical picture). so who was she to say no to that demand? makes a turn into a free space in front of the apartment complex when they arrive, which was a miracle for her, as her daughter had taken to nodding off on the way there.

she was dead weight when taking her out of the car and hoisting her up to rest comfortably in her arms, handling the doodle of the butterfly with great care as to not drop it or ruin it. but it's easy after that, as she is used to hauling around a child for hours on end when necessary, so a short walk to nick's apartment was easy compared to that.

isn't surprised that the door is locked when she arrives and there's no answer after a light knock or two, juggling both her daughter, the drawing, and her purse to nab the spare key. she's expecting him to just be asleep at his usual drawing area, but when she opens the door and steps in, there's no sight of him anywhere. blinks a bit and walks to the couch to gently place alice there, stroking her hair a few times before making her way to the kitchen.

nope, not there. she's weary in checking anywhere else, but after glancing over her shoulder at her daughter she decides it's best to check just in case. (anything could have happened to him, after all.) ]

[ after poking her head into the bathroom she walks confidently to his doorway, though she regrets it the moment she does; closes her eyes and turns her head slightly to the left, even if her hand had automatically gone to her face to shield the sight.

just groans. she's sure that he's seen her already, and thus: ]

I'll wait out in the living room.

[ & then she's shutting the door, making a face (augh why) before going to join alice on the couch and mentally bleach out the image from her mind. ]
