[ is standing near the entrance of the starbucks where he had first met nathan, looking strangely compliant & calm as he listens & reacts (as quietly & discreetly as he's capable) to the bustling crowd of the afternoon. it's not so busy as to give him a headache, but busy enough to keep him entertained as he waits for his teammate/friend. ]

[ doesn't remove his hand for now, allowing them to have a little contact. turns his head slightly towards the kitchen, where nathan and hana are at. ]

Nathan doesn't care about most people. I've been around him long enough to know that he likes you. [ pauses, giving it some thought. ] A lot, even if he can't acknowledge it just yet.

[ shifts his gaze over to caleb again, giving a smile and another light pat. ]

What he says and what he does? Two completely different things. You'll see what I mean later on, okay?

[ looks pleased at the contact, only tilting his face away when he wants it upright for deciphering, re-translating (into german) in his head & proper thinking. doesn't voice his thoughts, however, trusting his expression to communicate that for him while he gives another returning pat of his own. ]

Danke. Herr Aaron is nice. [ yet another moment of thought later. ] I yum Herr Aaron too.

[ nods, finally pulling away. thinks about something in silence, mulling it over. ]

[ pulls out his dictionary again, flipping quickly through the pages. ]

Oh. [ again he thinks over this. nods once. ] I like that.

[ grins, but doesn't comment, instead opting to voice his curiosity. ]

[ blinks & then grows quiet to think for a while until he starts speaking again; pace is slow, as if he's rewording his original meaning. ]

Is not The First, I know. The First is boss. But no leader?

[ also grins, wide & honest, well aware of aaron's meaning through that expression even if he cannot quite decipher the ordering of words. ]

[ comes out the kitchen and wanders out into the living room, setting aside the folder he snagged before leaving aaron and caleb alone. blinks at them and makes a face, coming on over to stand beside them. looks directly at aaron when he finally speaks. ]

I dunno what you're doing, but stop it. Let him go say hi to Hana before you invite him to stay with you forever.

[ rolls his eyes, taking his hand off of caleb's head finally. shoves both his hands in his pockets. ]

[ bumps his head against aaron's hand before it leaves in another silent communication of appreciation before he shifts his attention almost entirely on nathan. had only really understood "hana" & "hi" in between his excitement in nathan's reappearance, but assumes that's enough instructions on what his next actions should be.

decides to set that aside (momentarily) for now though, he grabs one of nathan's hands in both of his, face entirely serious. ]

Nathan! I yum you!
