[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ raises an eyebrow, though a tiny smile comes to his lips. ]

Didn't think it'd be that strict. She used to sleep over with us all the time, right?

[ shrugs. bends down to pick up the slushie that he dropped to throw it into the trash. ]

This is college. New rules.

[ looks him up and down, almost in consideration. shrugs and lets it go, giving his hand a tug back towards the crowd. ]

Longer sleep hours. Not allowed to wake up earlier than 10.

[ stops when he spots a bunny plush. gives tugs in that direction. ]

[ goes along willingly, seemingly interested in their new destination. ]

Popcorn. Movies. No Gundam allowed.

[ stops mid-step, looking a bit shell-shocked. shakes it off to glance back uncertainly. ]

[ stares at him for a little longer, looking a bit suspicious. then seems to shrug it off, turning back around to lead them to a shooting game. ]

[ and he'll just peer at said game, then over at the prizes. back to anthony. ]

What's this? You want another toy?

[ dislodges his hand from tony's to pull out his wallet again. motions at the bunny plush lined up against the wall. ]

That one. For my boss.

[ reaches over to take the crow plush--CAW--to hold onto it. ]

He a big rabbit fan?

[ jumps a bit at the sound, glancing back at the crow. gives the toy a small smile, then turns his attention back to tony. ]

Yeah. Has one as a pet.

Really? That's cute.

[ doesn't say anything more than that, too busy leaning on the stand to sit back and watch the hopefully enjoyable show he's about to get. ]

[ hands over the fee & awkwardly accepts the rifle when it's handed to him. manages to handle the rifle into place after a few attempts. shoots once as a test-- misses. shoots again-- misses. ]

. . .

[ tries yet again & watches it with a blank stare when it somehow ricochets off the stand to bounce back toward him. ]

[ ignores the amused look the stand owner is giving him & takes a moment to fight the urge to just throw the rifle itself at the prizes. in the end, just hands over another five dollars wordlessly. ]

[ stares. stares some more. debates on helping him but knows the results would not be good, thus he lifts the crow and... CAW. ]

You can do it! [ CAW. ] Who's the man? [ CAW. ] Anthony is! [ CAW. ] Shoot, shoot, shoot!

[ shoots-- misses. shoots-- jumps again when he hears the CAWing, momentarily knocking the rifle into proper position to hit an octopus. makes a face when he receives it & turns to hand it to tony instead. ]

[ reaches out to take it, giving it a funny look. puts it on top of the crow's head. CAW. ]

[ snorts quietly & quickly turns around as his shoulders shake briefly in amusement. then draws in a breath to hold up the rifle for his last shot, taking care to aim it properly. ]

Love that crosses the boundaries of speciation.

[ chuckles and leans back again, giving anthony's back a fond smile. ]

[ makes a considering noise & pulls the trigger, spine straightening in pride when it finally hits the bunny plush. rubs his face against it when he receives it & turns around to show it off proudly. ]

Victory. And a possible raise.

[ stands up straight again to take a few steps forward. reaches out to gently ruffle anthony's hair in a silent act of congratulating him. ]

A bunny plush is the way to his heart?
