[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ opens his mouth, closing it when he realizes that it would take way too much time and effort to explain. shakes his head fondly instead, reaching out to hook his arm around one of caleb's. ]

Let's go before it stops snowing.

[ glances out the window in a worried manner before he nods & starts to quickly tug them toward the door. only stops once on their trek outside (& that is so that he can lock the door), taking the few flights of stairs down on account of the elevator taking too long. once outside, he tugs the hat on a little more firmly so the wetness wouldn't touch his skin too much, then turns to beam at the other boy. ]

Snow! What first?

[ beams widely when they're outside, not being able to stop himself from bouncing a little on his heels. instead of replying he removes himself and runs out further away, tilting his head back to start catching snowflakes in his mouth. ]

[ keeps to his silence as he just watches, staying under a roof for now, unable to help the goofy grin when he hears the increased beating of nathan's heart due to the boy's excitement. ]

[ continues like that for a while longer until he stops to drop backwards into a particularly puffy spot of snow, just enjoying it for the moment. when that passes he looks on over at caleb, wiggling a little in the snow. ]

Well, c'mon! What're you waiting for?

[ eyes the snow a little wearily, but loses that a moment later. bounding on over, he settles somewhere to nathan's right, lying right back onto his back to start flailing around. ]

Angel!

[ mimics his flailing, laughing. ]

[ snickers and laughs a little, unable to stop himself from being elated at their current position-- ]

[ & suddenly, he's standing there with hana. staring at the two of them. a long pause of silence, and then: ]

[ screams in surprise at aaron's voice, jerking upward and over to caleb as he lands half-way on top of him with an oof! ]

... [ slowly looks over his shoulder at aaron and hana, cheeks a little warm but he raises a hand in greeting anyway. ] Hi.

[ not surprised at all, he sits up immediately & scrambles up to his feet to bound on over, beaming with his greeting. ]

Guten Tag!

[ watches nathan lay there on the ground with his face in the snow, eyes going back to caleb when he's gotten his fill of the pathetic sight. ]

Hey. [ holds up a bag. ] We brought cake.

[ almost smashes his face into the bag in his enthusiasm, sniffing at it. ]

Cake! Danke! What kind?

[ chimes in, a little shyly. ]

S-Strawberry shortcake.

[ jabs his thumb in hana's direction. ]

She made it.

[ eyes go right to hana, his expression naked with admiration. ] Frau Hana is sick!

[ opens his mouth. closes it. just stands there looking as amused as he can get, allowing them a moment as he steps away to go taunt help nathan. ]
