[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ nuzzles at the top of nathan's head. ]

Ja. I like today, a lot. Is with team, and they like my present!

[ tries to look up at him, head tilted. ]

And you worked really hard to pick those out, too. Good job.

Was fun! I like to give present to important people.

Do you send gifts to people you know in Germany?

[ rests his chin on nathan's head. ]

I send present to Hilda. Every time I find something she like.

[ relaxes back into his hold as he makes a considering noise. takes another sip of his drink. ]

What'd you get her for Christmas, then?

[ rattles off: ]

I sing her a song on computer. A necklace, her favourite lotion, Kaffee and tea set, pretty candle, and give promise that I be good next year too!

[ lifts an arm, bending it back to ruffle his hair with a hand. ]

You sure did spoil her.

Nein! She give me more!

Really?

Ja! She give me a lot. A lot of food, and book, and picture. And a lot.

[ considers this. slumps further into caleb's hold, too comfortable to try and decipher his words, instead saying: ]

... that makes sense.

[ leans his head away a little so that he can rest into the couch instead. ]

I show Nathan later, if Nathan want to see.

[ smiles a little at that, looking down at the juice box in his hands before giving a tiny nod. ]

I'd like that.

But I eat some snack, but I keep bag. Is okay?

They're your snacks, of course it's okay.

But is not the way Hilda sent. . .

[ gives his head another pat. ]

I think it'll be fine.

I share other snack with Nathan! Promise!

What kind of snack?

Cookie! Chip, chocolate. . . candy?

[ raises his hand, extending a pinky finger. ]

Guess we've got ourselves a deal, then.

[ hooks his pinky around nathan's & bobs them up & down a few times. ]

Deal! Promise!

[ nods, removing his hand to place it around his juice when that's over with. another sip later and he's tucking himself further into his companion, staring out the window. ]

Pretty, isn't it?

[ follows nathan's gaze, expression softening a bit. leans forward to rest his chin on the boy's head again, soaking in their shared warmth as his eyes slip half-closed. ]

Pretty. And peaceful. Is very nice.
